San Sebastian, Spain
Breakfast: Same as usual.
Drove from San Sebastian to Biarritz in France. Less than an hour.
Biarritz, France
Small beach town. Me and the gang walked up to a lighthouse there. I feel more comfortable in Spain than in France because my Spanish is better than my French. I miss Spain.
According to everybody, however, I have pretty good French skills for someone who's only taken one semester of it. Chloe and Camie went as far as French IV and Jason went all the way to AP French. Jason is really good at French, but Chloe and Camie aren't good with French conversation and they don't use their accents so it sounds weird when they speak French.
Next is a two-hour drive to Bordeaux.

Wine country! Yay! Too bad I can't have any...
Lots of pretty statues and fountains. Took a butt-load of pictures.
Lunch: -Fruit salad
-2 Diabolo menthes*
*A diabolo menthe is a traditional French drink where they take sparkling water and add different flavors to it. In this case, it was mint flavored. And green! 4laugh REALLY good drink. It tasted like Listorine, but yet it was still very good. I want to know how to make them at home!
I ordered something in French at the restaurant and My Spanish teacher complimented me on it. (He speaks Spanish and French) He said,"Emily you're amazing!" Yay! I like getting compliments. It inflates my already huge ego. biggrin
Learned how to properly taste wine using the 5 "S's": cheese_whine

Didn't actually taste any wine today though...wah!
They were having this big festival: "Vinorama." Apparently when you pay to get in, they give you a cup and you just go around to different booths tasting wine. I wanted to go but we ran out of time.
Next we drove 2 and a half hours to the hotel. My mp3 player died on me during the ride and I couldn't change the batteries so it was a VERY LONG 2 and a half hours... evil
Dordogne, France
Staying at L'Hotel de Selves. Really nice place with a pool and sauna. Walked to a restaurant for dinner.
Dinner: -tomato soup with egg and bread...(not too good)
-Pork chop w/ strange orange sauce and seasoned potatoes heart blaugh blaugh heart
-Bris cheese on bread xp
-coffee cake w/ nuts
Came back to the hotel and swam with everyone in the pool until bedtime.
Can't wait for tomorrow! 4laugh
