Eighteen years have come and gone

for mama they flew by

but for me they drug on and on

We were loading up that cheevy

both trying not to cry

Mama kept on talking,

putting off goodbye

Then she took my hand and said,

baby dont forget

It was the day after Ginny Weasley's eighteenth birthday. She was getting ready to go into auror training, at the College for Magical Beings, and was leaving the Burrow for the first time. She and her mom were packing up things, and putting them in the muggle car Ginny had bought for this perpose. Her mom wipped away a tear as she put yet another box in the car, then she turned to Ginny, and she took her hand.

Before you hit the highway

youd better stop for gas

theres a 50 in the ashtray,

in case your short on cash

heres a map and heres a bible

if you ever loose your way

and one more thing before you leave,

dont forget to remember me.

Molly smiled at her daughter."Now, before you get on the highway, you'd better make sure you have enough gas...I heard muggle cars run through alot of gas. Theres a few Galleons in the ashtray, and a 50 bill of muggle money, in case you run out of money. And I put a map in the glove box, along with a bible, just in case you get lost. Don't forget about your poor family when you become a big college girl, ok?" Ginny smiled, and nodded, giving her mother one last hug before driving away.

This downtown apartment

sure makes me miss home

and those bills there on the counter

keep telling me I'm on my own.

And just like every Sunday,

I called Mama up last night

and even when its not,

I tell her everythings all right

before we hung up I said,

hey mama don't forget

Ginny called her mom the night before, like she usually did. Things were getting bad, she didnt have that much money to pay the bills, but she didnt tell her mom that. She said that she was doing ok, then she asked about her brothers. Molly said that everyone was fine, and that Ron had married Luna Lovegood, Ginnys childhood friend that was like her baby sister. Right before they hung up, Ginny remembered things.

to tell my baby sister,

I'll see her in the fall

tell memaw that I miss her

yeah I should give her a call

and make sure you tell daddy

that I'm still his little girl

yeah I still feel like

Im where I'm supposed to be,

but dont forget to remember me

"Hey mom, tell Luna I said I'll see her in the fall, ok? Tell memaw I miss her, and I'll give her a call tomorrow. Oh, and please tell daddy I'm still his little girl, and that I know I'm supposed to be doing this. And tell the family don't forget to remember me."

tonight I find myself

kneeling by the bed to pray

I havent done this in a while,

so I dont know what to say

Lord I feel so small sometimes

in this big old place

yeah, I know theres more important things,

but dont forget to remember me.

Before she went to bed on Monday night, Ginny kneeled by the bed. She was never one to pray, but she had to do this. "I feel small sometimes, when I think of how big this world is. I know you have more important things to do, but please don't forget about me."
