Just got back from my week away in Turkey it's 1am or 3am as the jet lag is telling me.
Probs say more later but Turkey is the hottest place I have ever been to, it was as hot as a British summer day at night there.
--------------
So I went with my Mum and my Sister. We stayed in a fantastic Seven Seas resort called Magic Life.
All inclusive resort, free food, free drinks (including alcohol woo!) all on site activities where also free.
I'm going to mention the food first, there where several resturants two buffets and four different resturants with different themes (Turkish, Italian etc) you had to pay for the resturants and they where only availble in the evenings.
The buffets where all inclusive and delicious, same standard as the resturants. The choice was immense, 5 sections with different types of food outside as well as a BBQ section. Inside was full of appetizers, salad bar and the stuff they couldn't put outside like deserts and fish. *drools*
Long story short, I was well fed.
The place had bars everywhere, my sister went around taking photo's of all of them she counted 18. The coolest one by far was the Aquabar, which joined onto the main pool so you could just swim up to it and order a drink or cocktail.
The only beers they had where Efes and Budwieser, both of which are s**t (Especially Bud). So I stuck to cocktails.
The resort was right onto the beach, where I got a mostly healthy tan (fried my shoulders on first day, suntan lotion washed off)
I did Jetskiing, which is ******** awesome. Played tag with a german guy, following each others route and he could not follow me at as I lean in and do tight corners at 40kph xd (Motorbike knowledge + No fear of hitting hard floor biggrin )
Also did absailing, which is nice. Good views from up there, my sister was to scared to do it the first time.
She found her courage and did it on another day though unfortuantley this time it was really wavey (So wavey that the staffer on the boat who had been casually smoking and hanging off the edge the previous day was lying flat against the deck and holding on) and we both came down feeling slightly sick.
Wakeboarding is like waterskiing on a single board. I thought it would be easier than water skiing. I was wrong.
As fun as it was I spent most of my time in the water, you get going and then you see the tip of the board just go a little bit under the water and you know you are ********. The board just gets pushed under the water and you get slammed face first into the waves.
Waterskiing I am much better at.
We did go into town can't say I thought a great deal about it though. They sell knockoff merchendise everywhere but I didn't buy any as it's tacky as hell. Just says "I wish I could wear designer clothing but I can't afford it".
The bus journey there was pretty funny, the local buses are so packed that you can't actually get to the driver to pay. So all the people just pass the money down the bus to the driver and then you get your change and ticket passed along back up to you. xd
Turkish kebabs (Kebaps) are ******** lush. I don't really go for kebaps in England, I know it's basically pig arse, face and hoof in a pita bear.
In turkey it is totally different, it's real meat on the stick and they wrap it up in a flatbread. They just taste gorgeous, I had them almost every lunchtime.
