Love Unshadowed
You did not love with all your body s
inside cavities and secret
possbilities; some nerves
were left untouched;
some muscles were at rest
some thoughts were never
mobilized.
The motive soon succeeds the failure,
the explanation follows
the act, a faithful shadow.
But success will need no motive,
it is self-explanatory.
It was, and is, itself
a whole, an all,
an everything
love unshadowed
by the reason for it.
