Poem: A Playful Lie
By: Kit Katy
I hear the envious cries
I hear the laughter of joy
I wonder, are they all lies?
Though I see the smile
Though I hear the gurgle
Though I hear the voices pitch
Everything to me appears a brooding false
For all these pictures are fake
Each person plays a act
Each person has a role
Each person hides their true self
I can hear my voice rumble
I can hear it's weak echo
I can hear that I'm not fit for the role
However, each person tells me I'm wonderful
I disagree with them completely
My voice cracks, though it seems invisibly
Only I can know wither my voice performs neatly
This doesn't seem fair
It doesn't seem accurate
Maybe, I'm just being too much of a critic
