As Jamie led Alex down the hallway to the cafeteria, Monique, the most popular/preppiest girl in school, stopped her.
"What the hell are you doing?" She said angrily.
Jamie froze uncertain of what to say.
"Helping me. Now take your plastic a** back to your clique!" Alex butted in.
"Oh come on! We all know you are in love with me!!" Monique said snobbishly, even though she did not know the boy yet.
Alex looked at her confused.
"How could I love someone who I do not even know?" He said walking away leaving Jamie blank faced infront of Monique.
Once he was gone Monique said to Jamie,"Watch your back, He's mine."
Jamie kept on walking trying to catch-up with Alex.
'What the hell is her problem?' she thought.
Finally she caught up with Alex in the lunch line.
"Alex?" she said tapping his shoulder.
"Yes..uh..sorry I didn't catch your name" he said
"Jamie, but what happened backthere, you sounded like shakespear!" she said.She was begining to feel warm. It was a hot day and she was forced to wear a hoodie to cover her scars.
"Aren't you hot?" Alex asked.
"Uh..N-No," she said but a sweat drop drizzled down the side of her face.
"Yes you are..." he said watching the sweat slowly fall off the side of her cheek, "Let me help you," he said taking her un-zipped hoodie, revealing scars that were only noticable up-close...
