"It's never too late to do the right thing," Daddy told me last night over the phone, the phrase recorded in my head. "Don't you ever forget those words ok?" "Ok." "Promise me." "I promise, Daddy, I'll remember." I finally say, my face awash in tears from being overwhelmed by his concern.
4th period in class today: I look up and see the clouds move, not rushing through life at all, above me beyond the ceiling barrier. While this happens my friends that surround me, Katie, Vincent, Faith, Emily and Craig all talk excessively about crazy things that I toon in and out of with my mind full of other thoughts...
3:15 PM: I am now sitting on the bus, 80-7, next to a good, recent friend, Ayanna who's in 10th grade. We're having a pretty consistent conversation, not 1 moment either of us arn't talking, about random stuff, mostly on how guys we've met in the past asked us out only because of our appearences. Very flattering, we both agreed, but slightly disturbing in a way.
Over all it was a nice, decent day. I wouldn't want anything less.
