Oh I am so damn sick of seeing users bitching how they work hard for their gold and things are so expensive and all the other bullshit that comes along when Gaia releases an item like the fortune egg or any random generator item.
I spend money on Gaia. I spend a decent bit of money on Gaia. I love this site and I don't mind spending money to keep it running. I have a very decent chunk of gold thanks to buying items and selling them on the market.
Do I work for my gold?
Yes I do.
I work damn hard for my gold.
I spend 12 hours at a hospital with my hands literally inside someone's abdomen as I change the dressing on the monstrorous wound. I take care of people that have cancer after they've had surgery (usually). I work with people that have, for all practical purposes, a garden hose stuck in their side to drain out the fluid after they have surgery. I teach a patient how to deal with a colostomy when they've never had one. I give chemotherapy and watch it make people horrendously sick. I take care of people that have a trach, a hole in their neck so they can breathe through it (and suck out all the mucus when they can't breathe because they can't cough hard enough). I take care of people when they have seizures and I take care of people when they are dying. Some of them die very slowly, over days and weeks and months. And sometimes they die in a matter of hours.
I deal with blood, sputum, emesis and human waste daily. Some days, I don't get lunch. Some days I don't get a break. Some days I work more than 12 hours, go home, sleep for 7 hours and I'm back for another 12+ hours.
You work hard for your gold?
And so do I.
To say otherwise is simply ignorant.
