Loud thunder roars above, while the cold rain pours onto the thirsty ground, as lightning illuminates the ground below drowning the flash of sparks that come out when both blades connect, the two men locked in battle don’t hesitate a second as they launch attack after attack their only goal is: to live thru this battle.
Three months ago: “There you are! I been looking everywhere for you.”
“I’m sorry, I saw this ad on the town’s community board and I decided to check it out.”
“You could have alt least told me where you were going? I had to cancel our appointment with the master because I couldn’t find you.”
“That was today? Come on we can still make it if we hurry”- starts running towards the center of town.
“Wait for me!”- fallows my twin brother laughing as I avoid hitting the others in the street. “Hikaru wait.”
Hikaru looks at me and smiles while running ahead “Your always been a slowpoke Zack you’ll never going to beat me if you don’t train harder”
“Well excuse me for being slower than my younger brother, I’m still stronger than you”- smirks
Hikaru glares at me and starts running faster ignoring me all the way to the training grounds. This sibling rivalry has always been going on since I can remember and over the silliest things too, but as the years passed I began to notice that we have been growing apart even though we are identical twins there is an invisible wall between us that we are too stubborn to break.
“Hey! Hikaru? Do you really think that Master O. will let us join the guard this summer?” I slow my pace as I wait for his answer then, I see him stop in front of me.
“I don’t know but we are more than ready to join the guard, after all our combat scores are the highest they had in 60 years so I don’t see why we can’t join.”
“I know but Master O. wasn’t too happy about that he keeps telling us that we are not ready but I wonder why he says that.”
“He’s probably worried that you might slip up on the job and embarrass him.”- He starts to laugh hysterically.
“Ha-ha, very funny.”- I cross my arms and walk past him heading towards the training grounds.
“Oh come on! It’s hilarious and you know it.” - He keeps laughing all the way to the training grounds.
