How Do I Tell You?
Dark outside,
White light.
No moon light,
No sun.
How do I explain myself?
How do I tell you what I am?
It isn’t easy to explain, my love,
How do I explain the sun,
And how it hurts me so?
Is there a way to explain,
Why I never sleep at night?
Our lives are different,
But somehow intertwined.
Dark outside,
White light.
No moon light,
No sun.
Days can pass,
And you’d never see.
What won’t you see,
About a change in me?
How do I explain,
The dead look on my face?
Or how about,
The weird obsession I have for blood?
Would you question me,
Or let it go?
Dark outside,
White light.
No moon light,
No sun.
After some time,
You’ll start to question.
You will want to ask,
But your mind won’t allow it.
You’ll start going crazy,
Curiosity making you lose control.
I won’t question,
For I know what is happening.
You will start going out,
Just to avoid me.
I’ll be depressed,
But I knew it would happen.
Dark outside,
White light.
No moon light,
No sun.
One night you’ll come home,
Drunk and annoyed.
You’d be furious,
And want me dead.
“What are you!?”,
You’ll scream.
“I’m not what you think I am,”
I’ll say quietly.
“Tell me!”
“I can’t.”
You’ll look at me,
I won’t mind.
“I’ll kill you!”
“You can’t.”
You think,
You wonder.
Dark outside,
White light.
No moon light,
No sun.
A year will pass,
And you’ll be quiet.
We’ll rarely talk,
But I’ll be fine.
People can see you aged slightly,
But I’ll still look the same.
Then the night will come,
You question who I am.
“For the last time, who are you?”,
You’ll ask cautiously.
“I cannot tell you,”
I’ll respond without emotion.
“Please tell me,”
You’ll beg.
“Vampire,”
I’ll respond quietly.
You’ll hold your breath,
And back away.
“You monster!”,
You’ll scream.
“I loved you!”,
You’ll cry.
I’ll be silent,
But then say, “I love you.”
You’ll call me a liar,
A monster in disguise.
Dark outside,
White light.
No moon light,
No sun.
More days will pass,
And we’ll be apart.
You’ll come to me,
As I too you.
You say you’re sorry,
As do I.
You tell me you love me,
And I too you.
How did this happen,
And we fought and are together again?
Why did I act so stupid,
By never bothering to tell you.
Dark outside,
White light.
No moon outside,
No sun.
And finally the day will come,
Where you want to be like me.
I’ll tell you no,
It’s not the life for you.
You’ll fight with me,
Then I’ll give in.
With your last breath,
You’ll thank me.
I’ll sink my fangs,
You’ll groan in pain.
Minutes will pass,
Before I let my fangs come back.
You’ll feel some pain,
And I’ll step away.
Hours will pass,
And the pain will be unbearable.
Finally it’s done,
And you are now like me.
Now together,
Living forever.
Dark outside,
White lights.
No moon light.
No sun.
