Kizu sat alone in the woods. She had been upset about a lot of things lately, and she felt like no one seemed to care. She came out here in wolf form, but realizing she couldn't cry as such she changed back. She found a rock and sat down. It started to snow. She was cold and lost in her thoughts, watching the flakes dance in the wind when a familiar warm hand touched her shoulder lightly. she looked up to see domo smiling down at her. He wore that grin he always had on when he tried to cheer her up. He knew better than to ask her if something was wrong. He knew she was upset simply because he understood her, and he knew if she was alone, then something was bothering her. He sat down next to her, thinking it better to let her tell him, than to ask her what it was. He knew she would when she was good and ready to. The wind seemed to let up since his arrival, and now the snow fell peacefully. The silence was deafening. She laid her head on his shoulder, and he wrapped an arm protectively around her. This was the bond she had come to cherish. She knew he had a mission coming up soon, and it was an important one. He would be leaving for quite some time, and that was a major part of why she was upset. Her fear of losing him forever was driving her to fits, but she knew he was just as upset about leaving too, which made it both easier and harder. She knew he had a tough road ahead, but they always said, "it's gonna be okay, we'll make through this, and see each other at the end". Her tears rolled down and froze to her cheeks in the frosty night. they were silent as the snow. Domo wiped on away, and she could tell by the look on his face that he was crying on the inside. They sat for a few hours, but it seemed to be too short for both of them. As they walked back toward home they both thought to themselves, 'This won't be goodbye...I'll make sure of it'.
