Six Kittens
Last night at the humane society was horrible. Someone brought in a crate they had found at the side of the highway. There were six little kittens inside, not even a week old yet. The poor things had ice on their paws. By the time the crate arrived one of them had already died. In the hour afterward we tried everything we could to warm them up. Three more died and we had to put one down. So now there's only one little kitten with no mother and he's all alone. We're not sure if he'll live very long what with him being so young. He will probably starve.... It's horrible. I hope the person who abandoned those kittens knows how slowly they froze to death. I want them to be weighed down with that horrible deed for the rest of their long life.
