The Life and Times of Avani
It's Avani. How can it NOT be good?
Rant - I'm Right, You're Wrong
I'm certain anyone who debates, watches television, or experiences any kind of human contact whatsoever is aware of arrogant people who refuse to accept others' opinions in any way. It doesn't matter what the subject is; Whether there's a discussion on abortion, same-sex marriage, religion, euthanasia, or whether the Stoneraven or the Truesilver Champion was the better weapon for my gnome warrior, there's always someone who won't even consider that there's a slight chance he could be wrong.

Many issues, including the aforementioned, transcend basic fact and logic. They're complicated, controversial matters that can't be labelled in black and white. The many shades of gray are formed by individual morality, faith, perception, etc. We cannot classify one's opinion into the mere categories of "right" and "wrong." It goes much deeper than that.

Even with that said, you can't go anywhere without running into someone who is so full of himself that saying "It's just my opinion and I respect yours" might trigger the apocalypse. There's always somebody who won't even listen to arguments against statements such as "abortion is murder", "same-sex marriage is immoral", "My religion is better than yours", so and and so forth.

Is abortion murder? I don't know, but I don't believe it isn't. Is same-sex marriage immoral? I don't know, but I believe it isn't. Is your religion better than mine? I don't know, but I don't believe it isn't. Get the idea?

Let's get another thing out of the way. Clearly, I'm a Liberal. Extremely liberal in most cases. I dislike people who are vehemently arrogant regardless of what they believe in, even those similar to my beliefs. I may have given the idea that I think I'm completely right and everyone who disagrees with me is completely wrong. This is not the case. I always try my best to retain a calm, neutral demeanor while expressing my views and opinions. I listen to arguments against mine and accept that they may be right, even if I do not believe so. The majority of the time where I clearly don't want to accept another's views is when I'm frustrated by someone else doing the same.

In conclusion, people seriously need to open their minds and do their best to respect each other. If I hadn't, I would've never become Pro-Choice or choose to become Buddhist or tried Yoga or lots of things.

To kill the suspension, I picked the Stoneraven.
