Abandoned C3
Continued...

She awoke, to a bright light upon her cheek, lips, eyelids. It burned. She looked up, threw the now visible dust, moving from it and saw one of the many boarded windows open. It must have been opened by the storm. She stood up and pulled on her, now dry, dress on over her head, then jumped up to the window with ease, closing and locking it once more.

Something seemed different this morning. Everything seemed the same. Books unmoved, dust slowly settling on them, the silence. But there was something different... what was it?

The girl jumped down looked around then closed her eyes trying to figure it out. There!.. the smells, sure it rained and made it humid, but.. there was someone else there, she could smell their scent. She focused on it, male.. young.. human. She opened her eyes and traced the smell down on the first floor. It went up to a door that lead into another lounging room. She looked threw the crack of the door looking in. There were cloths lying on the backs of chair, away from books.

That was alright, as long as the books where okay, but she also spotted book stacked, as if read. She didn't see anyone, not from that angle, but soon she heard the soft moan of a voice. Backing away from the door she stood straight and opened the door quietly. It made a slight creak sound as she stood there.

Yet that small sound woke him up. The man turned pulling out a gun, laying his forearms on the arms of the couch, and pointed it at the girl that stood there looking down at him. It was still, quiet as always. He stared at her bewildered, silent as he held the gun steady.

She didn't move, made no sudden movements not taking her black cold eyes off his face behind the gun. A image flashed in front of her eyes, it was brief. blurry, but familiar, it hurt her head. She gripped her forehead in pain as it did, the man jumped nearly shooting but stood confused and fearful, what was happening?

The pain of the image faded quickly. She remembered some of it. Brightness, green, a small boy, pointing something at her, a gun? No... It was still too blurry to tell, but she stood up straight again and turned walking away from the room.

The man lowered his gun. He was taller than her, bare chested, but had jeans on, he had silver hair with some black lines in it, it was natural, but looked good on him. He stepped forward a bit making the wooden floor beneath him creek.

Reaching out his had he called to her,"Wait.... are you okay?" he asked in a deep voice.

She paused not moving another step, she hadn't spoken to anyone in years, she didn't even remember how to speak as she tried to pull together words together,"........f....fi....fine.." she managed to say.

"..." he was quiet, trying to see if she was hurt or if she just stuttered.. He couldn't tell but took another step forward to walk to her.

But this was too soon for him to walk forward. She launched up in the air vanishing in the darkness above, back to her open room.
He jumped back pulling out his gun and pointed it blindly into the shadows. It made him nervous. He was human and saw few that could jump so suddenly and so high. She wasn't human, that was for sure. He lowered his gun after a few moments as nothing happened, she didn't come back down so he didn't see any danger in for him. He went back to the room picking up his shirt that was on the chair and pulled it on covering his chest.

He decided to explore the library, see if he could find where she was, who she was, if she was really fine. He left the rest of his stuff in the room and walked out with a flashlight. Turning it on and pointing it down a illy of books, his jaw dropped,"...wow..." he mumered as he saw rows and rows of book as far as the light could shine on.

He looked blinking then continued to walk till his face hit something that was cold and hard. Iron? He rubbed his face moaning and looked up seeing the spiral staircase. This puzzled him, as he walked up the stairs and saw even more books.
