The Story of My Life
Exactly what the title says, and i have free reign to write what i want.
Chapter 4 - Cutting Back
Ok, seeing as i'm on the other end of that completely hectic weekend that i described in the last chapter, i just thought i'd give the results of me running around like a chicken w/ his head cut off for the past 2 days.

Friday was prolly the least busy day of the last 3, but Saturday was DEFINITELY the most stressful. I found out the day before (Friday) that I had drama practice for the following Sunday sunrise service (earlier this morning, but we'll get into that later). I was supposed to make T shirts for this event, but I thought I didn't need them done until sunrise service, and i already had the basic design down & the supplies (iron-on transfers, etc.) bought, so i'd made the decision to do them that afternoon. But when i arrived that morning, i got the bombshell dropped on me that they were supposed to be done THAT MORNING FOR PRACTICE!!!! stressed "Great" i thought to myself "just ANOTHER ton of added pressure to add to the system!" (and i was already darn near putting a hole in the nearest wall BEFORE that!) I decided though that instead of putting all my stress into the nearest wall, i'd channel it into practice (a much better decision since i was playing a demon in this drama anyhow lol). I promised the head person there that the shirts would be in their hands before the sun went down that day (which automatically remounted the pressure i had on me at the START of the weekend...), and being a man of my word, i headed straight home after the cast and crew got lunch to get those shirts done (didn't pass go, didn't collect $200 either... crap i could've used that! oh well too late now...[btw that's a joke XD]) I immediately hit the computer to get the printouts done, praying with all I had in me that this technology wouldn't give me any lip cuz i couldn't take any more at that point.

Long story short, the printouts got done pretty smoothly. (w/ one or two hiccups, but not too serious) After that was the critical part; i had to then take the iron-on transfers and apply them to the shirts... needless to say i was feeling the pressure, since it was already 4:00 in the afternoon and my goal was to get it to their door by 5:00. With that thought i automatically pushed that goal back to 6:00, since i knew at that point 5:00 was impossible, so now with 2 hours left I started the long process. I got down to the last few shirts, when disaster struck: ONE OF THE SHIRTS WAS MISSING!!!!!!!!! gonk My grandparents (who i'm living with currently; if you want the whole story just contact me) told me they'd look for it while i finished the last few shirts (they're awesome; what else can i say? mrgreen ). I got down to the last two when they found it, but the operation wasn't outta the woods yet; i found out that my two puppies had taken a liking to it... TOO MUCH of one. (let's just say it definitely wasn't the cleanest thing in the world anymore, luckily it was just that instead of them ripping it to shreds lol) So as i finished the last shirt i had the shirt that had seen the not so pretty side of dog life was just finished in the dryer. Can't get much better timing than that! With about an hour to spare I whipped out the last shirt, hung all of 'em, threw 'em in the backseat of my car, and blitzkrieg'd into town to get 'em into the proper hands just in time.

After that little episode i was still buzzing on adrenaline, which led me to the local music store to try out the latest earthquake-generating, awsom-channeling equipment (with not much intent to buy of course xd , and just for the record, when ur a rocker, awesome is DEFINITELY a viable fuel source lol), which put and end to that day only to throw me to the dogs of this morning.

My day started @ 4am today, not exactly the best of hours, but could be worse. Anyhow, I was @ the church by 5:45 (along with everyone else in the drama), ready for a performance at 6:30, which rolled around pretty quickly. Everything went flawless (well relatively anyhow), the t-shirts i'd made the day before had never looked better, and after the performance i got to hangout with one of my best friends (and one of the most awesome girls) in the whole wide world. whee That last bit in and of itself would make any bad day i'm having better, but the fact that God helped me (and the performance) keep from caving in and/or having an aneurysm all weekend just made it all that much better. I thank my Jesus everyday for the love He shows me and the grace he gives me to make it through the most stressful situations i face! GOD U R AWESOME!!!!!!! Just proves to me again what i've always believed: when ur life is in God's hands, u can just take life easy, ROK out, and let God handle the rest.

Well that's pretty much it (even though it was a lot to cover lol). See ya in the next chapter!

.............but wait there's more! Yes my weekend did end quite happily, but this chapter's not closed just yet. My grandparents, after seeing me nearly explode w/ the stress i've been under for the past few weeks, have issued me an ultimatum: I now have to prioritize & slim my schedule down to the bare essentials before the week is over. Not that bad, right? .........not even close. I have to make some really hard decisions, specifically in the area of music.

I'm currently in two functioning bands, but i've been told i can only choose one.... Both bands are a great opportunity to minister to my generation with the gospel and use my talents for God's glory, but it seems like i'm the only bassist in the area & in my generation who halfway knows what he's doing, (not that i'm trying to brag, i'm just saying that's what it seems @ least to my knowledge) which means that whichever band i choose to seperate from will likely fall apart at the seams..... and I HATE ripping the floor out from under people like that! These guys in my two bands are my friends, (one band even has blood relation in it!) not to mention good people all around. Whatever i choose, this decision will stick with me for a long time. (weeks, months, even years) I have to make sure i'm in the center of God's will in this, so if there's anyone out there with even a HINT of faith in God in them, pray for me that i'll make a decision that is based on what God wants me to do, cuz the absolute LAST thing i want to do is stray from God when I'm so close to him now! Anyhow that's the last i have to say... PLEASE pray with me that i make the right decision....
