The Store
The small figure of Alyss plagued that shop day in and day out. He knew the store clerk by name and the kind old cambodian man would always tell him when a new shipment of charms and scrolls arrived. The old man, who curiously enough was named Raccoon, had been waiting for Alyss to arrive for hours, apparently. A new scroll had arrived in which was a Latin text that was supposedly supposed to ease the lives of the reader and make things simpler. Raccoon greeted the small teenager at the door, grinning ear to ear. "Another hard day, Alyss?" He asked, nodding at the ramen that covered the kid. "Don't mock me, Raccoon. Y'know I can't stand it when you try to be clever. Save that for the people who actually buy things." The scowl was fixed on Alyss's face. "I got a new shipment today." The old mystic said, hoping to cheer him up.
