A little continuation to my plotting!!
* * *
He glanced out the window to the deserted grounds below, well the somewhat deserted grounds. The only form that remained there a while longer was the corpse of the Unknown Soldier. He stared, and found that he stared for quite some time at the body. It looked as if it had been a toy, violently thrown aside. The only thing that really set the scene for what it really was was the puddle of blood that pooled around the body. He couldn't stop himself from wondering just how many loved ones he was leaving behind. He'd barely even entertained the notion before he was pulled away from the window by a large hand.
"Hey!" he started, before he was turned to face the newcomer.
He stared wide eyed at the large man before him. It couldn't be possible unless it was Armstrong himself, but Kiyoshi was damn sure that this mountain of a man was not the Major. Kiyoshi felt incredibly small, as if he'd been transmuted to be Edward's height. He nearly had to look straight up to see this man's face.
"Erm..." he started voice a bit weaker then he'd been hoping for.
The giant man shook his large shaggy head before, whirling Kiyoshi about to march him out of the room. Kiyoshi did his best to lock his legs and stop his inevitable departure of the room, but it was of very little use. He'd only had to blink twice before he found himself out in the hallway. A very empty hallway, he noted with a groan.
"This way." came a deep voice from above him, and Kiyoshi complied. Somewhat. If anything he promised, he'd make any of the endeavors he was included in that much harder for them. Though as the reached the end of the hallway there'd be no mussing their work today. He was roughly shoved into a large white room, the difference with this room would be the fact he was no longer alone. His new 'roommate' was large. Very, very large. Almost Armstrong sized, and hopefully for him, less annoying and unwilling to rip his shirt off his body.
For the moment, the other hadn't noticed him. That was very short lived though as the door shut behind Kiyoshi, the man turned deep brown eyes on him. Kiyoshi froze under the intense gaze; the whole deer caught in headlights phenomena.
"You must be the Mouriarti I've heard them talking about." the tall man started, making Kiyoshi jump at the sudden-ness of it.
"Yes." Kiyoshi answered with a nod, "I'm Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi Mouriarti."
The man smiled, "A pleasure to meet you. Your father is Artemis Mouriarti is he not?"
Kiyoshi found he settled but was curious at the same time. This man knew his father? "Yeah. That's my dad."
The man chuckled, "You look just like him. Name's Richard Maddox. I served under him when he was still young enough to be a Colonel."
They both laughed at that, Kiyoshi's old man was, really quite old. Though they both laughed and joked about now that they had some sort of common ground, the threatening feel still hung about the room. They were there for a reason, and soon, they'd be finding out just why.
"How long have you been here?" Kiyoshi found himself asking a while later.
Maddox's smile faded from his lips, the topic had changed drastically, and so had his mood.
"A few hours…Maybe a day? I've had more than enough time to talk with the Furher," he spat out the last word like it was poison, "about our supposed 'partnership' in the attempt of the Furher's life."
Kiyoshi was interested, "What did the Furher have to say about it?"
Maddox shook his head slowly, "That man… He isn't a man at all."
Maddox began to ramble some about how anyone could let a 'thing' like the current Furher run the military? They continued their talk for hours, or what seemed like hours. Time was hard pressed to not be accounted for in anyway, and Kiyoshi wished they hadn't stripped him of his pocket watch.
Their wait wasn't much longer before some guards had come to separate them to their fates. Kiyoshi managed to steal a look back, as he was roughly jostled into the hallway, at Maddox. It would possibly be the last they saw of each other.
They lead him down a long hallway but before too long, after a few turns here and there, Kiyoshi recognized where they were headed. The Furher's office, if he was guessing correctly. After all, Maddox had spoken of his talk with the Furher, so he guessed it was his luck he'd get to do the same. Maybe, just maybe he could talk some sense into the Furher. Explain to him that it was near impossible for them to have had anything to do with any of this. As the door got closer, he could only scramble for his argument, and suddenly his time was up.
