Covered in Sweat, I am roused from my sleep, Scared and Alone, And not making a peep, sadly I mourn, my mother is dead, and dreadful thoughts creep into my head What if I die here? Where am I now? In a forest, to escape I don't know how, To escape from the fear, to escape from the pain, I burst into tears, That are hidden by rain If only I'd saved her, I cried to the clouds, But no one listened to my voice stout and loud
What must I do to save myself, I thought silently, As the winds whistled thruogh the trees, I remember the noises that were, quite violently, thrashing and grunting.
I feel a hand on my shoulder, I do not turn in dismay, "Who are you?" I asked, The voice replies, "Alice Esme."
I suddenly have a plan, I realized through and through, That I should form a team, For this is What I Must Do
