Life is no romantic comedy,
with a prince to sweep you off your feet.
Love doesn't happen like the movies.
No coincidences
to bump into that perfect someone
at the laundromat or coffee shop.
No secret crush
to confess their unadulterated love
at the airport with a surprise kiss
No perfect timing
for them to take that hint
and go for a bold chance
You want him to kiss you,
in the rain, out of the blue,
and to profess his love
Nope. No romantic comedy here.
No lighthearted twists and turns
that work out in the end.
No fantasy fulfilled,
No soul mate found,
yet.
I can wait.
if you don't come, i'll wait here forever heart
