I used to think that my parents were there to shield me from the outside world while letting me make my own mistakes up to a point (especially if that point was a power-point), but just recently my mother has started to make some pretty awful mistakes and I can't stop her.
I don't want to be her parent or her keeper but I do want her to understand that there are some things she shouldn't ask me to do. One being to lie to the police.
I don't think that I can ever forget what happened and yes I will probably hold it against her for ever more but surely there are better ways of managing since?
