heres another free verse poem. i came up with most of it last night on the way home from tucson.

"Her Beauty" by Layanne
In the car after a long day,
Listening to music,
And the soothing sounds of blowing winds.
I put my arm out the window,
And look at the sky,
I see a beautiful sunset,
Fading from dark to light blue,
Then a large gray cloud below,
Beneath fades from dark to light purple,
Bleeding into dark to light orange.
There are a few small clouds in the orange.
It looks as if I am seeing a reflection of the ocean,
From the other side of the world.
I see three small islands and a large ship.
I imagine you and I in the ships ballroom,
Dancing a fast, upbeat dance from decades ago.
Having the time of our lives,
Happy as can be.
I see us smiling at eachother, laughing,
Then I return to reality.
I blink and look out the window again,
Still listening to music and wind.
The sky is dark with clouds to match,
And the moon is full and bright,
Covered by a cloud here and there.
I look at the sky and the moons beauty,
And I am again reminded of you.
The moon and sky are nothing compared to you.
They look down at you and keep improving in beauty,
Wishing to one day catch up with you.
