Shell's Beloved Anime Tek-Tek Contest!
Quick little contest, to run until...
I'm told Gaia's origin was as an anime-discussion forum, so I'm reasonably sure all of us have at least one favorite anime.
I would like you to tektek one of your most-beloved anime characters. (Don't just do L from "Death Note" because it's easy xp )
Please provide a reference pic and a small explanation about why you like this particular character, what inspired you to create this particular avatar, etc.
If I were entering, here would be mine --
This is an homage to my favorite scene in "Kiki's Delivery Service", when Kiki, who's lost her power of flight, must rescue Peter who is in mortal peril. She borrows a pushbroom from a streetcleaner and tells herself, "Fly". Oh, my, that brings tears to my eyes every time I see it!
When I saw the pushbroom item, I simply had to make this avatar. I couldn't find closer approximations to the clothing, but you know how that is. And Coco makes a passable Jiji (who's not in this scene, but he had to be included), but if Auspice weren't lavender, he'd've been perfect!
(I had to look all over the net for this picture! O.O)
There will be four prizes. In descending order of fabulousity, they are --
First place - Pink Magical Giftbox
Second place - Blue Magical Giftbox
Third place - Brown Magical Giftbox
Fourth place - Enchanted Wooden Trunk
Runners-up will get everyone's favorite booby prize, a hermit cat! Oooh! I got SOOOOO many ideas fer this one and I had to limit it to just one && So....here goes.....
