Undreas the Werewolf
This is a story about Undreas, a fictive person; or a sort of a want-to-be version of myself. Most things written are pure fiction while other things have gained influence from real experiences in my life.
Episode X: Part 1:

(The X episodes are stories that have happened very recently, in difference from the other ones showing what happened many years ago before Undreas had grown up, becoming who he is today.

- Episode X (followed by X2, X3, X4 etc) - Is the present
- Episode 1 (followed by 2, 3, 4 etc) - Is the past)

On august 18th, year 2009, Undreas headed out to find his long lost friend who got trapped in an underground temple many years ago during one of his many expeditions.

A few days before he headed out that morning, he had settled in a bunkhouse at the juvie camp. And during one night there, he had a dream. A dream about something that happened in his past, about that friend he lost. He could not stop thinking about it and eventually wanted to find out whether his friend was dead or alive. He had gained a rank high enough to allow him to leave the grounds without permission, so without delay he started to walked the road taking him to the ancient lands he was heading to.

But it'd take him days, maybe a week to reach the temple. The land was actually a large isolated island. There was a inhabited island not far from it, so his plans was to reach that island and use it as a headquarters, heading out to the ancient island in the mornings, going back on the evenings, in case he'd have to spend more than a day searching for his friend.

Now though, he had to cross a rather large swamp if he didn't want to take the long detour road.

He knew of this swamp though, and how to cross it safely. Poachers lived close to it, so he still had to be very careful... It would take him a while to find it in the thick forest. There were no animals or creatures around, this place was rarely visited by anyone thanks to its rumors about ghosts and apparitions. This forest had a unique emerald glow. He could almost see nothing but shimmering green.

When he finally reached the swamp, he squat down and observed the surroundings. He could see nothing suspicious, so he got up and started jumping on rocks and logs to land on a small islet, letting his muscles quickly recover.

Bubbles emerged from the water infront of him. "Just a burping fish", he thought, before he kept jumping, now reaching for the standing tree trunks. They were slippery, but he didn't hold on to them for long enough to slip.

It took him a good hour to reach the other side of the swamp, never touching ground until he knew he was in a safe distance from quicksand or swamp traps set up by poachers. He landed on a large sized rock, and slided down to the ground from it.

From there, he was just a few minutes away from the road, so he started sprinting when he heard a whistling sound from behind him.

"An arrow." he thought, as he on the same time started climbing and jumping the trees with increased speed. A band of poachers had stalked him from the swamp and wouldn't kill him until he was on ground. But he knew they couldn't aim well when they had the sky in their faces, so he headed for the treetops, arrows flying past him as he jumped.

He could see the road, so he increased his jumps length. Soon he was in speed high enough to outrun the arrows. And when he reached the road, he landed on the trunk of a tree, then jumped down on the ground to keep his speed up, following the road to a 4 way crossing, but he kept running forward. He had to reach a harbor town very far away to reach the islands he were heading to. But before that, there was a mountain in the way. He could see it in the far distance, but the road would take him to its feet. His legs went numb as the hours passed. He didn't slow down though, until he reached yet another 4 way crossing. The sun was now setting behind clouds on the horizon. He decided to slow his pace down during the night.

At this crossing, he'd have to take the left, the other two ways would take him to either a lake or a town. But he wasn't planning on resting or fishing, so he took the left one, which would take him to an abandoned coal mine, reaching to the other side of the mountain.

The night had turned the sky black, filled with dark, heavy clouds when he reached the entrance to the mines. A fould stench reached his nose. He knew this place was very dangerous. And mysterious. But he had to cross it to quickly reach the harbor town.

So he entered the mine...
