Q:What have you been doing?

Learning what I want FOR ONCE instead of having curriculum shoved down my throat.

Schools/Teachers drown the "student" with information leaving them no time to just sit and contemplate about anything. It's as if they don't want me to have an original thought: We take a class and they assign us a book. Now what's a book? Somebody elses' thoughts/ideas, not just ANYBODY but a CERTAIN somebody - a biased pre-approved perspective. They don't assign you three different books, with three different perspectives: just one.

Nothing's stopping me from searching alternate information for myself YET
Nothing's motivating me to look for it in the first place. They make it so I just accept what they present me with as THE truth.

and not only that, but because it's a required subject (since it's just part of the curriculum), I have no desire whatsoever to learn it, giving me less of an incentive to research on my own time for an alternative view.

I spent 7.5 hours of my day in school. Sitting. Absorbing information. Why do you think they do that? They drain you of energy. They try to guarantee that when you do get home you'll do nothing but "relax", entertain yourself. They're counting on the fact that you'll be so tired after school (assuming you're not conned into taking extracurricular activies) that you won't have the energy nor desire to dedicate any time for independent learning on things you're genuinely curious about.

Q: What do you plan to do?
