~A few days later~

Raiko was walking throught the huge square of Eien Yume Academy, Mori directly by her side.
"Seriously..... Shiro hasn't been himself lately. Ever since that night.............." Raiko trailed off. She glanced at Mori, who was fumbling through her book bag. She didn't seem to be paying any attention. She pulled out a quarter, closed her eyes, kissed it, and ran off. Raiko blinked and frowned. Mori ran up to the huge fountain in the center of the Academy's plaza and tossed the quarter into the very top of the fountain. As she approached her side-tracked friend, Raiko watched the shiny coin leap through the air and splash into the beautifully-clear water and run down the side.
Mori whined, "Aw, man! I never make it into the top part!" She crossed her arms and frowned.
Raiko laid her hand on Mori's shoulder and sighed.
"Did you even hear what I said?" She asked.
Mori perked up, then nervously laughed.
"Yeah, but, I forget things easily, could you repeat that?"
Raiko rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, right, like you suffer from memory loss on a daily basis."
Mori spread her arms wide.
"But I've had a lot on my mind! I mean, Shizuko just asked me out and--"
"Wait. What did you just say???" Raiko exclaimed, then grabbed Mori's shoulder and began to wildly shake her.
"I.... said..... Shizuko.......... asked..... me out!!!" she managed to say between shakes.
Raiko's jaw dropped.
