Growing up in the main branch of the Hyuuga family, Shiro always wondered what purpose the division within the family served. When he finally gained the nerve to ask his parents about it, they told him the story behind the twins and the precautions placed upon the "Branch Members". Being a just and righteous person, Shiro was outraged. In his mind, no matter what the circumstance, no one should ever be enslaved like that, especially family members. He decided from that day forward, against his family's wishes, to do whatever it took to break the division between the two branches. He decided to enter the Academy ...
Academy Arc
During his time in the academy, Shiro was always considered the guy to know. He was incredibly popular and never seemed to be without an abundance of friends. However, he never asked for this popularity. As a matter of fact, Shiro hated being popular, as it took time away from his studies. When it came to the classroom, Shiro was a straight A student, never failing a single test the instructors gave him. There were several times that the instructors would refer to him as "the next Hyuuga prodigy" or "Neji's early reincarnation", due to his pure strength and ability with the Hyuuga fighting style, as well as the shinobi world in general. In little over a year, Shiro had accomplished the task of completing all of the Academy jutsu required for graduation and was on his way to becoming a Genin. Genin Arc
When Shiro first met his Jonin, he was very intrigued. It was none other than the legendary Uchiha Sasuke, who held Konoha's second founding Doujutsu. Right away he knew he would learn much from this man, but he also knew that the training would be a fate worse than hell itself. He rather liked both his teammates, even though one seemed to be a silent person with a personality complex and the other was a strong pacifist. This gave him something to laugh about. Once he listened to Sasuke explain the power of hatred, his mind was set. If this power could help him achieve his goals, he'd definitely use it.
Their first training session was a large-scale Genjutsu, in which they fought the feared Momochi Zabuza of Kirigakure's seven swordsmen. Shiro acted as the team's eyes, and relayed all of Zabuza's movements to them, as well as defending them from the brute of his attacks. After going after him for so long, using so many overpowered Juuken attacks, Shiro's stamina was running dangerously low. Yet, it seemed as though Zabuza was only going after him. Something inside of him snapped. He blacked out and when he awoke, Zabuza was gone, and he was sitting beside his teammate Seitake. He immediately got up and left towards the Hyuuga district for training.

~Clan History~
The Hyuuga clan were one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be the ancestors of the Uchiha clan who possess the bloodline of the Sharingan eye. Each clan member possess the "Byakugan" or "White Eye." When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the internal chakra circulation system in other beings. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings. The higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blindspot that extends outwards from their upper back.
The clan uses this ability in conjunction with their own chakra creating the Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style. By focusing the chakra to their finger tips, they can press the tenketsu or chakra pressure points of their opponents body. When the finger nears the tenketsu the chakra is forced out, collasping the targetted tenketsu for a period of time. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.
These great powers lead to internal strife within the family. Because the eye grants such a unique and powerful ability, the clan became possessive and over-protective of it. Seeing only the main family as worthy users and inheritors of the eye, the heads of the clan began to place restrictions on those branch family members not in power. What resulted were two Hyuuga lines, the powerful main family who would represent the line, and the branch family who were directed to protect the main family and bear the cursed seal.
The cursed seal is placed on the foreheads of branch family members. It serves as a means to protect the secrets of the Hyuuga Byakugan eye. If the branch family member was to ever betray the main family or be killed in battle, the seal would be activated to destroy the body's secrets. Thus forcing the branch family to further bow to the will of the main family.
~Kekkei Genkai Explanation~

When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the tenketsu; the internal chakra coils system 361 pressure points. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings, the higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blind spot that extends outwards from the vertebra of the upper back.

The clan member can use their fingers or palms to emit chakra to flow into their opponents body's at the tenketsu points. When the hand draws close enough to strike, the clan member can stop or increase their opponent’s chakra flow. The internal chakra coils which spread throughout the body also wrap around the internal chakra producing organs. So if the internal coils are attacked, it also damages these internal organs. Because a ninja can not train their internal body, such damage can be a critical hit for even a highly skilled ninja. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.

Hakke Rokujuuyonshou is a Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline. Hakke Rokujuuyonshou is a special technique passed down through the main family line. When an opponent is within the clan members divination field of attack, they can quickly begin their assault. The technique allows the clan member to use the Byakugan eye to see the inner chakra coils system. Using the Jyuuken style, they can force their chakra through their hands into the tenketsu of the opponent's body through 126 strikes. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 4, 8, 16, 32 and finally 64. This damage forceably closes 64 tenketsu, stopping the chakra flow of the opponent. This then limits their opponents ability to use jutsu.
Hakkeshou Kaiten - Eight Divination Palms of the Hand, Heavenly Spin

Hakkeshou Kaiten is a Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline using the Jyuuken. Kaiten is a special technique passed down through the main family line. Kaiten takes advantage of several of the unique abilities of the Byakugan eye. Byakugan gives the clan member an almost complete 360 degree view of their surroundings. This allows the member to see all angles of attack. If an attack is near, the clan member will release a large of amount of chakra from their tenketsu. The member then begins to spin like a top, creating a whirling vortex that can nullify almost any attack.

Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing
Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.
Suimen Hokou no Waza - Act of Water Surface Walking
A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.
