Tome of the King
...Yeah, the name is a bit much, but I'm kinda drawing a blank. Long story short, I'm just gonna write about whatever I feel like. I'll try to keep it about Gaia or videogames, but don't be suprised if an actual feeling or two leaks out in here.
So first Axel and Xion bust each other up, and Xemnas takes her away. Then Roxas breaks out of the Castle that Never Was. I saw Saix at the end, and figured I was in for a lecture. I believe my thoughts were "Stay out of my way, little Moonman..." When he attacked me, and I realized he was a boss fight...Heh. You know that old cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas? You know how wide his grin was when he thought of his plan? That was my face, I swear. I'd been wanting a piece of him since the beginning of the game.
So then I'm running around Twilight Town, and then I get up to the tower. Xion pops up. How the heck did she escape from Xemnas?! Anyway, she takes off that hood, and it shows just her mouth talking. However...I knew that mouth. I'd know that mouth anywhere. Roxas was now seeing Xion as Sora, and God was it creepy looking. Then she put up that hood, and it showed Sora's face within the hood, and if I ever see that look on his face again I will piss down my leg from excessive creepy. The very air around her began to crack like glass, and the battle began. When she entered her final form, which I have taken to calling Perfect Xion, my face was identical to Link's in LoZ: Ocarina of Time when Ganondorf became Ganon. Perfect "What the f!ck?!" face.
I didn't want to win. Her intentions weren't evil. Granted, I would have preferred either her or Axel to JUST TELL ROXAS WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON, but just because she went about this the wrong way doesn't mean I wanted her dead. In fact, I wanted to lose the fight...but after all I've been through, Xion never stood a chance, even with all that power.
After her, the rest was history. Riku was a joke. And after that was the end of one of the most depressing games I've ever played, and yet my favorite game of all.
A few questions that were never answered...What were those machines for? Were they originally intended for Xion to power up on? Or were they planted at spots that held special significance to Sora so as to absorb more of his memories, and Xion broke then and used the memories within to absorb more power and change forms? And did Xemnas truly ever find that blasted Chamber of Awakening? And while we're at it, what is Xigbar's relation to Ven? Why does Xemnas have Aqua's armor and Keyblade in his possession?
At least I finally understand what Xion is...the description of her as a mirror helped. She's not Ven's Replica. She's just a Replica of...no one, I suppose. A blank slate. But the memories inside her, and how you think of her drastically affect how you see her. Hence why Xigbar saw her as Ventus, and why Saix saw her as a faceless puppet.
My parents were fast asleep when I beat this game, I didn't want to wake them up. Otherwise, I would've broken down and sobbed uncontrollably when Xion finally shattered. I can only hope that she is somewhere inside Sora to this day...with her best friend, Roxas.

So did you go read the journal entries after? I imagine that for your OCD, there ought to be something there for you.
