It was almost noon when Gekkou finished burying Axl. She placed a ring of flowers on his grave and let the few last tears she had water them. she said a few words for him then turned and walked away, not wanting to look back for the fear that she couldn't leave him. she almost thought of laying there to die with him, but she knew someone had to go tell the villagers and Fenix of Axl's fate.
She walked and walked and walked for what seemed like hours to her, but she knew better it had only been maybe an hour. She came to a hill side and looked over, what she saw did not make her feel any better. Laid out before her, where the villagers should have been, was a deserted battlefield. bodies of humans and demons alike littered the ground. She walked over the the remains of the camp that the villagers had left. She found a few needed things a couple flasks of water, some leftover preserved food, and a few other tools. She gathered them up then walked away following a trail of footprints leading away.
She followed the trail for three days, coming to a cliff she saw her destination. A city, carved into the cliff side, made of what seemed to be white marble. It was humongous, bigger than any city she had ever seen, but her attention was diverted away from that to a horrid sight. laying across the plains from the city was a gate, an arch much like the one they built in the village only this one dwarfed the villagers one in size, it was filled with a red membrane, and demons and undead were pouring out of it creating a massive army. She ran down the cliff side towards the city fearing the massive collection of creatures.
She reached the gates and was confronted by a guard who, after a thorough check that she was human, let here through. She was greeted by many hugs and joy over her return by the other villagers who quickly rushed her to Fenix and left them alone.
Gekkou then relayed the story to Fenix about Axl
Fenix slammed his fist on the table," Joul....."
"Fenix whats going on around here, why is there a massive army outside the gates looking at this place like its gold."
"its a long story so be prepared," said Fenix softly.
Gekkou nodded and listened.
"The thing they had us construct in the village was a gate, a gate to connect our world with the demon world.The Black point was a time when ours and the demon worlds collided. now the reason why it seemed like a moment to us was that there worlds time goes by so much slower. what is a full day to them is a second to us. But thats just it, for them to feed they only got the black point....a full day to us is years to them, can u imagine feeding only once every few years....that's what they had to do. So they constructed that thing.....to let them come and go as they please. There is going to be a war soon Gekkou...a big one and we have to fight, were are the most experienced and able bodies. I really wish Axl were here but he's gone now..."
At the end of his storry a man came into the hut they were in. He had black scraggly hair and bright blue eyes, and he was draped in a red armor with two katana's in red sheathes at his side.
"Fenix..." he said.
"What is it Ekaj," said Fenix rising slowly.
"The creatures are moving.....its time. prepare for war. "
