My heart, now filled with rage, had shattered into pieces. “Who did this?…” I said, my voice barely a whisper, giving a bewildered stare at Gabriel, who looked at me like I was his sworn enemy. “Who’re you looking at?!” He shouted at me. Before the words had any effect on me, I turned around, my hair waving in the breeze I had created. I slowly went into a kneeling position and tears began to fall down my eyes, my hair hiding me from the eyes of the people in the room. Though no amount of hair could hide the sounds of my sobs that sounded more like gasps every minute. I pulled my hands to my face and quieted my sobs. Hina hugged me now. “I know a spell, but I need you to help me.” She said, worrying about me again. I couldn’t find my voice to answer my new friend. I knew this worried her. The poor thing. I’ve always kept my distance from mortals for this particular reason. So they wouldn’t feel pity for me. I’ve had enough pity to last me at least a hundred new lives. I stood up, now quiet, only the sound of my breathing exited my nostrils. How repulsive! My lovely beautiful beau transformed into an ugly monster. I wanted to rip out whoever’s throat had transformed Gabriel from his original state. His perfect smile gone. His indifference now made into anger and hatred at everything he looked at. He was no longer mine… Not when he was like this… Suddenly, I felt time stop. I saw the birds outside frozen in midair and the people in this room were frozen. Except… one person was missing… Gabriel was behind me, sighing his hot breath on my neck and wrapping his arms around my waist. My eyes widened is surprise, specifically because he wasn’t frozen by the spell, if there was one. “I‘m sorry, my dear archangel. Your death is near.” I stiffened at his words and noticed the considerable change in his voice. I knew what to do then… I quickly summoned the shape of a staff to aid me in casting spells in a flash of light and cast a spell of light to bring forth the demon. It growled with fierce intensity inside Gabriel and I covered my ears to the sound of his shriek. It was high pitched and I watched as the shriek had already shattered the windows of the house. The only thing was because of the spell the shards wouldn’t fall to the floor. The creature now faced me. He bore snakes from his chest, his eyes black like Gabriel’s when he was still possessed, sharp claws coming from his dark cuticles and fangs reaching over his lower lip. He gave a long, deep snarl and he stalked toward me in a menacing way. Incredibly powerful as he may appear, he was no match for me. I quickly came out of my mortal shell with a flash of light transforming me completely. Long, flowing silver white hair and clear, almost white eyes. I yelled as I swung the staff at the monster, slashing him in two and both halves shattered to pieces until disintegrated. I saw Gabriel’s body lying there in front of Hina and ran to him, of course, almost tripping while I did so. I held his head on my lap as I kneeled and tended to his necessities. My mortal shell was creeping on me again and I was back to normal. I caressed his face with my right hand and I saw him open his eyes. He gave me an smile that was brighter than any light spell I’ve ever used. It dazzled me and I didn’t know what he said at first… “Come again?” I said trying to get him to repeat the phrase with that libidinous voice of his. He only laughed at my reaction, part of him questioning how he did that to me. “I said, ‘What are you doing here?’” He said, my eyes drooping a little while he said it. He never had spoken to me directly. He’d never even taken notice that I was alive for that matter! So this will take some time to get used to. I stammered at first but I shook it off and spoke as clearly as I could. “You were… Coming to see me. I’m your new tutor, remember?” I said sweetly, poking his nose lightly with my finger only once. He raised an eyebrow at me and then he shrugged. “What’s it gonna cost me?” he said, eager
