Zee was laying in the lounge room. A low growl came from her throat as her claws drummed against the surface of the floor.
Pepper, the orphan that had lived with them, was sitting on the couch with a slightly annoyed look as well. Ray was pacing back and forth between the Pepper and Zee, and the TV. He was so wrapped up in his worry fit, that he didn't see the remote fly toward his head, causing him to stumble over.
Rubbing his head, he stood up, glaring over at Zee and Pepper, who were still glaring at him.

"Any reason as to why I became a target, Zee?" Ray said.

Zee huffed, "That was Pepper. If it were me, your head would be on fire. Now why the hell are you so antsy?"

Ray began to yell back, but then, just sighed and walked out of the room.

Zapook was almost back to her normal self. Her tail was still unusually bushy, and she still had the hair, fangs and ears of a wild canine. The color came back in her hair though, and her skin was no longer fur covered. It turns out that Dr. M's cure did work, but was slow working.

Ray could only smile weakly as she passed him in the hall. Zapook stared at him for a bit, before turning around and following him. "Hey buddy! Look! I gots my thumbs back!"

"That's....great...I'm glad you're recovering."

"Eh. Kinda recovering."

"Oh...is it because it's going slow?"

"Not only that...but something seems off, ya know? But all the same, I'm happy to almost be back to myself. Though..."

"Though..?"

"You don't seem like yourself."

"I just have a lot on my mind..."

"I can tell. You kinda...well. Remind me of me."

"Of you..?"

"Back when I heard my sister was coming."

"...You have a sister as well?"

"Oh yeah...Aunit... Huge pain in the a**. Deadly one too. Attacked the house coming after me."

"Good gods, what happened!?"

"Zee and Tina defended me. And Tina Kicked her a**."

Ray gave Zapook a dumbfounded look and lightly laughed, "Not That I don't believe you...but..."

"You don't see Tina fighting for someone like that." Zapook interupted.

"I don't see Tina fighting at all."

"You'd be surprised, man. Tina's actually a kick a** fighter. And not only that, but she gets really serious when it comes to protecting family."

"So they see you as family..?"

"Heh. As sickening as it is, yes. Thing about Pyra Clan members, they're very accepting to all species, except canines."

"But...Zee's boyfriend..."

"That was the normal periux clan... but that's why each member possessed such different and unique powers... They're predominately cats, but there are so many other bloods mixed in with theirs... yet canine wasn't one of them."

"I see. And they're the last huh..?"

"Unless Tina gets a mate, and Zee has a litter, pretty much. Aussa's a Pyra, too. As well as three other girls out there, and Zee and Tina's brother. So not really the 'last', sorta speak."

"Wow...is he the last male?"

"That we know of."

"That's so...bizarre..kinda sad too."

"Speaking off, what's got you so down..."

"...Well...I guess I can tell...considering what you told me..."

"Oh?"

"About how they defended you..."

"Yeah? and? Sorry, just speed it up, I still need to work on Yinxao's cure."

"Do they consider me family?"

"....Say what?"


Zee was now laying on her back, rubbing a bloated stomach as she watched TV in the lounge room. Zapook ran in on all four, causing Zee to arch her back from being startled.
"Dog-dammit, Bacon Butt! Stop running around like that!"

"Scold me later! We got a problem!"

"Problem? What problem?"

"Ray's family is coming here!"

"Oh joy...more house guests..."

"They're stopping by for dinner in about a week!"

"Dinner? We're low on food! I should know."

"Zee...they're all succubus and inccubus..."

"Oh...well...s**t..." Zee winces. The coughs a few times, spitting pepper out onto the floor. "You! Got get Tina! Now!"

Pepper nodded and ran off like a frightened toddler. Zapook followed her.
Zee was wiping Saliva from her mouth as Ray walked in with his head hanging, "I'm so sorry...What am I gonna do..? You guys are in trouble and it's my fault! All because I stayed here..."

"Cool it, we'll be fine."

"What am I suppose to do though! I mean...I could have left, but if I did that, they'd still come here and attack you guys.."

"It's fine. we got...a week right? Should be enough time to clear the animals and young ones out. ...And Onima."

"All because I can't find an effin' bride...that's acceptable anyway."

"Oh right. Bride. Hey...wait..." Zee grins, rubbing her hands together.

"Um...Zeneeba?"

"Ray...do me a favor and help me find my Halloween costume, will ya?"
