I lie awake wishing for sleep to take me away but that wish is never fufilled, the nightmares always come. so I wait for the pain, as crimson red tears pour from my black eyes, as I'm engulfed by the sadness, memories, & the pain. darkness surrounds me, the voices drown me. sometimes it stops for a moment or two & i can breathe, then it returns to tear me down. it is like a maze of sorrow with no exit. never can i stop the pain. I try to wake from this vicious nightmare, & realize this is my life...there is no waking from it.
