An open book
Kirou has led a pretty normal life, though he lives with adopted parents. He doesn't mind- he never knew his birth parents and never really cared to, since his family is the best one he could wish for. He's sort of a popular kid for his grade, and almost everyone calls him "Zeru," short for 'enzeru', which means "angel" in Japanese. Some don't even know his real name...
I generally Act like
Kirou, like his preincarnation, is very happy-go-lucky, but not quite as lazy. He'll always try to look on the bright side of things, and as an aspiring musician, he loves to rock out. His grades, however, are suffering. He's a bit laid-back, but does care about them and does what he can, but some part of him just isn't getting the information like it should. Despite being popular, he's very introverted, and expresses himself mostly through music. He has few actual friends at school - most of them are outside and he rarely sees them now since he goes to a totally different high school. He can be kinda goofy at times, and you usually only catch him without a smile when he's focused on his music.
All these little things to say
Despite his personality, he loves the color black and often dresses in it, despite whatever uniform he's supposed to wear, if any. Any teachers who hounded him for this have pretty much given up. He also always wears an earring given to him by a friend - back when he was in middle school. His everyday outfit includes his favorite jacket (seen above) and an earring that he practically never takes off. (It's a single, small diamond, not seen in the picture above. But it IS on his left ear.) He also has a special notebook that he jots down lyrics and melodies in. Cover art looks like this: Notebook Cover.
Here I am!
Zeru sat in the back of the class as Miss Harrian droned on, hardly listening. How could he?! Nothing she had to say about the Revolutionary War mattered now - his notebook lay open and he scribbled the notes furiously, the melody ringing in his head, waiting to be played. A song he knew and felt - this was the song that would make the dream happen. He was sure of it. "There he goes again," a girl whispered to her friend. "I wonder what he writes in that notebook..." The teacher promptly went to the desk and towered over her, then when she saw the girl was paying a decent amount of attention and practically cowering enough, she went back to the front of the class and continued, ignoring Zeru. It was no use. The teachers knew they couldn't stop him once he started jotting in the notebook, lest they unleash the most miserable teenager in history upon the world.
The bell soon rang for the end of 4th period, and he was almost immediately swarmed by the girls. "You were writing in your notebook again!" "What is it, a secret jouurnal?" "Zeru, won't you show us?"
"S-Sorry girls, I have detention, I can't talk right now!" he lied, and promptly turned to rush to the music room. "Phew," he mumbled once inside. He approached the desks, opened up the case lying near them, and lifted his acoustic guitar out if it.
