FOOD TRIP!!!
Our batch just went on a field trip to Davao just recently. Our trip is a 4-days trip for our plant biology subject (Bio 103). My friends and I were really that excited about the trip especially the EAT ALL YOU CAN @ Eden Park. My friends really know me well how voracious i am in terms of food and so are they (but, no one can really keep in line with me). And because the walls have ears, our other batch mates knew it. On our first night, we stayed at CMU, Bukidnon. Foods are reserved for all of us. All of us were very hungry because of our whole day travel just to get there. But, my company didn't eat all their food for supper ('coz they don't like them), so i ate them. I wasn't that aware that the boys from the other table (our classmates) were watching on us, trying to peek on the way we eat and how we enjoy the food even if it's not really tasty. Only when i tried to turn my head looking for a girlfriend did i accidentally catch all their eyes stuck on us. (let them!!!) The second night of the trip was spent in Davao. We ate our dinner on a fast food chain nearest to where we stayed. (We stayed @ DMSF). Same story, the boys and other girls were watching on us. Maybe they enjoy how me and my company (my girl best friends) do things. Again, I ate my company's leftovers rather than be wasted and thrown out in the garbage. (many unfortunate kids were even trying to look for food in the garbage, and some don't eat at all. see how fortunate we are!) What i really enjoyed during our trip are the foods, foods, foods. Lastly, the best among all our food trips was the "EAT ALL YOU CAN" @ Eden Park. It costs P450, so we shouldn't waste it. The time we arrived at Eden and we stepped out of the car, my friend and I explored maybe only 1/8 of the park. We talked to parrots, went to the birdwalk, played @ Pinoy games section, went sky riding and bought some items @ the souvenir shop. When the clock turned 11am, it was time for lunch meal!!! (EAYC) Before entering the resto, my company went to the CR and so, the rest of the batch went inside ahead of us. When me and my company entered the resto, all comfortable seats were occupied. So, our instructor offered us the table nearest to the round table where foods are served and near to the door, where waiters will enter. FALL IN LINE to get a plate. Lucky for us, we're first. Our batch were shocked to see our plates with just enough food to satisfy a normal girl (1 cup rice, one-type viand, a slice of fruit and a glass of water). You can see in their eyes questions such as "huh? 'yan lang?", "himala!, are you sure?", etc. Ignore them, we need to focus on the food as we're starving after doing such tiresome activities. All of us are seated, prayed, and started to eat. A few minutes, Norz stood up and got us a glass of coke for the six of us. (We ran out of water). Naj then went to the serving table and got one plate of sliced mangoes for the six of us, Haf got a plate of pineapples. After eating all of them, we then realized we're not yet full. So, Yang got us a glass of sprite for the six of us. May'a tasked the fish fillet and vegetable salad for all of us. While eating all those food, we realized that we didn't really followed the sequence of the food courses. So what! At least we can eat! The other tables of girls near us were watching, chit-chatting, cheering and enjoy praising us GO Melah! GO! GO! We saw the waiters put 5 classes of cakes on the serving table. Norz immediately stood up and again, she picked 6 slices of each of the cakes for all of us. Yang and Naj saw the soup and gelatin on the serving table which we didn't see earlier, so they took 6 servings each for the six of us. I picked the watermelons. We saw another type of vegetable salad so we got one serving for each of us. May'a didn't really liked the taste, so she stood up and picked fried chicken for all of us while i eat the salad on her plate 2 seats away from me. There was a lumpia special, a pancit bihon, chicken adobo, beef and another three classes of food. We tried them all!! Haf put 6 big uncut leaves of lettuce on the plate. Other tables were wondering how we're gonna eat them. I picked 1, took a small bite and rolled tuna salad in it and ate it. Simple. I just made it some sort of lumpia. My company we're also doing the same. We really are best friends, same things in mind. WE'RE NOT YET FULL!!! Our girlfriends (classmates and batch mates) were really amazed at our food capacity and eating skills. Unlike us, they only ate 1 cup, etc enough for a girl. IT'S OBVIOUS, they're just shy or doing "demure effect" 'coz they may have some crushes on the boys. (they just wasted their P450...and that's big money) They just smile at us. GOOD! WE DIDN'T KNOW, WE'RE THAT FAMOUS. Another thing, boys from the two tables across us didn't really expect that we are really that gluttonous when talking about food. Other girls just told us that our boy friends (batch mates) were really watching us eat all those food all along. SO?! THE HELL WE CARE! THEY ARE NO REASONS TO STOP US FROM EATING! BE DEMURE JUST A LITTLE BIT? WHO ARE THEY? WE NEVER WANTED TO PLEASE EVERYBODY BY JUST NOT BEING OURSELVES! THAT'S US, ACCEPT US AND WE'RE GOOD! (Even the boys didn't take a second round. They were stunned to see that only those in our table were persistently going back to the serving table to take another round.) I never really imagined that my company really catches the attention of the batch. Maybe we're that sophisticated, complicated, unique, etc. But we are just being ourselves, doing the way we usually do them, and showing the real us ignoring what other people think of us. We really enjoyed the trip. After that, classes start again. Every girl in our department smiled at us, still amazed as what i can see in their eyes. You could only hear "grabe kayo...lakas n'yo talaga kumain. hindi halatang gano'n kayo katakaw sa katawan n'yong 'yan (huh? sexy b kami? payat lang siguro na hindi tumataba na ok lang....) PAHABOL LANG... When our instructor said we're now going to try the Indiana Jones section in the park, everyone started to leave their tables, pass by ours, stare at our table (no single space with no plate, 3 empty glasses each, layered plates all washed out) and say "GRABEH!", "WOW!". Honestly, we're not yet satisfied but we got shy when the boys passed by our table, stopped and really really stared at our plates and laughed (in a good sense). So, we stopped. Actually, lunch meal is 11am-2pm. "sayang! uwian na mamyang 1:30".
