"Raaaaay...." Zee said with a groan as she laid back on the couch.

Tina was nearby, picking up a few empty plates and cups with a sigh. "He is out with his brothers..."

"Damn...that means he left me alone here with his mom?"

"There is that. It also means that poor Aussa has a few moments to get her nerves together once more."

"That creep of a brother of his is still bugging her?"

"It is strange how they have no respect for one's personal space..."

"...They're succubi and inccubi, Tina...it's kinda part of the job description."

"I am aware of that... So how are the lessons coming with Mrs. Grandice?"

"Oi...That could be going better...I mean, to think it'd be so easy teachin' a bein' like her how to swallow people whole..."

"..Oh? So it isn't going well?"

"Actually, she's doin' really well."

"I do not see the problem then."

"The problem is that two of her kids also took an interest in this whole thing..." Zee sighs and hangs her head, "I kinda wish Onima were here...at least I wouldn't have to worry about her comin' back."

"Zeneeba!"

"No! I mean, she does it on her own! Geeze, I'm not tryin' to get rid of the girl."

Tina sighs, "Who have you been using?"

"The fricken snackrafices that village keeps leavin' of us. We're out by the way."

"I wish you would refer to them as people, instead of food items."

"I'll pretend you didn't say that."


Grandice poked her head in. "I am ready to try again once more..."

Zee said with a growl, "We're out of victims, Grandice. It's gonna have to wait until we can get a fresh one."

"Nonsense! Grab that lovely woman next to you and I'll meet you in my guest room! Then we can try it once more." Her face was as straight as it could've been as she spoke.
Tina and Zee just stared at her and watched as she walked out of the room. The sisters slowly turned toward each other, and Tina started to shake her head with a horrified look on her face.
Grandice poked her head back into the room. "Are you two coming?" Zee stumbled to find words and respond, but was cut off by Grandice's smile. "Oh...I see...I fully understand now...", she said as she walked toward Zee, putting a hand on her shoulder. "....You don't want me near steps with a bloated midriff! You're a sweet heart! It's fine, sweetie. We don't have to do this in my guest room upstairs." Tina and Zee both let out a sigh of relief. Grandice grins, "We can do it right here."

Zee actually fell off the couch, and Tina's eyes were wide open. She began to push Grandice away as her arm was grabbed.

The struggle halted when Ray came through the room with a bag of groceries. Grandice, Tina and Zee just stared, as he awkwardly looked them over, pretty much accessing the situation. "So..." he said with a grin, "Practicing still, mother?"

Grandice laughed, "You know me...a chance to learn a skill like this is just too good to pass up!"

"Well, mother, I'm afraid you're going to have to find another victim. Tina's our best cook, and I need her in the kitchen."

Grandice nodded, "How about your snake friend?"

"Two the girls got to him first. You'd have to wait."

"And the small brown eared cat girl?"

"Currently out on an errand for Zee. She should be back in a few hours."

"...Oh my...I guess I will have to wait after all," she sighs. "In that case, I shall go to the balcony for some fresh air."

After Grandice left the room, Zee smiled up at Ray with a grin, "You're sisters are using Ekone as furniture again, aren't they?"

He grinned, "Yep."

"Dinners already done too, isn't it?"

"Yep."

"And Aussa's hiding in one of the empty rooms because Moja's back, isn't she?"

"Yep."

"...I gotta say, Ray, I just gained a little more respect for you."

Tina nodded in agreement and hugged Ray, purring.
Ray could only blush.


Later, that night, Tina found herself standing in front of her bedroom door. She was fidgeting, blushing immensely before gently pawing and scratching at the door. Ray opened the door, wearing nothing but his black pajama pants and scratching the back of his head. "Tina..? You shouldn't be out of your...um...temporary room this time of night...You've seen how bad my family is."

"..."

"Is something wrong?"

"I wish to stay with you."

"...Pardon?"

"I wish to stay in the same room as you tonight."

"Ah...Um...Sure! But...Why the affection?"

"All you have done from the first day you have resided with us is care for us. About my sister. About this house. Our family..."

"...Well...My friends...Your family..."

"Our family..." Tina said softly before kissing him on the lips.

Rays eyes went wide with surprise, but didn't fight it. He simply embraced her and returned the kiss, slowly backing into Tina's room, as Tina herself used her tail to close the door behind them.
