One thing about the high desert: they make lame names for really cool stuff.
For example, I'll be graduating this year, and instead of saying "I cant wait for graduation." people here say "I cant wait for promotion."
Now i think thats really lame. Its like theyre taking away the excitment. They make it seem like youre working, like "I'll be getting promoted from middle school to high school."
It peeves me off, alot.
But i went to Kohls over the weekend and bought three new dresses, the only problem is deciding which one to wear to 'promotion' dance, and then 'promotion night'
Im sure ill figure it out eventually
