I don't think many people at my school actually stayed silent the whole day. (I only stayed silent for the school day). Heck, most people didn't even know what it is. For me, it was a day to contemplate and reflect about homosexuality and sexuality in general. I am bisexual myself, I accept it and will admit it (in front of people I think won't make a big deal of it). At home, I think my family COULD accept it, I know they definitely won't disown me or anything like some families, but I'm still really scared to come out of the closet. This is my silence personally, not telling my family. I'm fine with this too. I do wish I could talk about this with my folks sometimes. I will come out of the closet to them eventually, but for now, there's really no need to.
