I wrote these poems, or at least thought of them, in my Band class.
Hello, I am fear. What do I do for a living?
Why, I cower behind the past generations so I won't be able to move forward.
And what might your name be? Greed? Ah yes, I've met you.
You provoke other people's desires, is that correct?
I knew it. You looked familiar. We're in the same line of work.
But are we related? That is the question.

I'm crossing the bridge
It's hard to look forward and not look back
But what's passed has passed. Set in stone, unchangeable..
The path gouged by many-a-traveler is edging farther and farther away.
Now I look forward, to greener pastures
Lush with what can be, what will be
Rich in new opportunities, new lessons
It was hard to look forward
Now it's hard to look back

Silence is a pretty sound
It echoes though your eardrums
Producing the noise which is so profound
Can find it anywhere, everywhere you go
But will it find you? Heaven knows.

You've hung out with me for a whopping five minutes.
You've seen only a portion of my true self
You don't try to see me, blinded by prejudice
And you think you know me.
You think I'm cynical, cursing the darkness.
You think I'm stupid, silently laughing at my slowness
You think I'm a wuss because I cried at my weakness
You don't know me.
Maybe, I am cynical, but I don't bite.
Maybe i'm stupid. Book-smart-wise? What type?
You say I am a wuss? Tell me a tear hasn't escaped your face.
Judge me without knowing me? What a disgrace.
Guess what? You still don't know me.
So I see you've judged me, your information in your hands
I hope you're happy now, you and your friends.
Call me what you wish, I don't really care.
Your petty acts of insecurity, besides being pointless, are unfair.
Because no one knows me except me myself.
