A thought in the dark
To all who read this, you shall know my true turmoil. Over time I shall reveal myself. I hope that you understand.
I told you.

Above Modern Day Iraq, the ruins of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon

Rhodes pressed his hands up against the plastic screen, the only thing stopping him from plummeting to the ground as the helicopter he was in zoomed arcoss the Iraq desert. He sighed a bit, sitting back in his chair, his hand absent-mindedly toying with the bullet that had been aimed at his head. He didn't remember how it had happened, but somehow the bullet stopped just before it his him. This must have been what the agent was expecting, because after that Rhodes was whisked away from Greece by boat, stopping in the U.S. only to get a different boat and a helicopter. They had told him that a friend of his was here, in the old Babylon ruins. They had all given him a starage look when he asked what they meant by it's ruins. It had taken him a bit to realize that he had been asleep for longer than he had thought. They gave him a change of clothes, some new jeans and a white t-shirt, clothes for an American on vacation. As the helicopter rumbled, Rhodes was shocked back into the present, the landing a bit rough which made his stomach uneasy. "She's this way." One of the accompanying agents told him, leading him through a veritable maze of old walls. He looked around, visions filling his head of what the place had looked like centuries ago. They ended up at a stone wall that seemed remarkably out of place in the midst of the wrecked temple. The wall was beautifully decorated, inlaid with marble, mother of pearl, gold, and every type of jewel imaginable. Rhodes slowly raised a hand to it, looking around as the agents stepped back from him and the wall. He moved his hand along the stone, stopping when he found what he somehow knew was there. Set in the stone was a small hole, no bigger round than a needle. If you didn't know where it was, you would never find it, the hole expertly hidden next to a small jewel. His hand went to his necklace, the bead falling off the cord into his hand. He held it for a moment, closing his eyes slowly. His hand closed around the cold metal, heating it slowly. He felt it change shapes, now knowing exactially why he was here. He opened his eyes, holding the newly formed key up to his eyes. He slipped it into the hole, turning it. There was a soft click as he did, the circle paters of the wall rotating, shifting around for a fewe moments before the wall entirely spllit in two. The halves spung open slowly, revealing their treasures. One the other side was an empty room, but the kind of empty that showed that it had once been full. "What are you guys looking for?" A small voice called. The whole group turned around, only to see a teenage girl seated upon one of the ruin walls. She seemed out of place as well, her presence radiating royalty. Her hair was braided straight down her back, a flower comb on the side of her head. She slipped down off of the wall when she saw Rhodes, running over to him and throwing her arms around him. "Saraeneth." He whispered softly, knowing that was her name. "Rhodes, I think it's time again." Saraeneth said, looking over to the agents. Rhodes nodded, his memories coming back to him in a flood, filling his empty mind once more. "England?" He asked, smiling when she nodded. "We can only do this with everyone. We have to get the twins." They moved as a pair, turning their backs on the agents and walking back to the helicopter, navigating the labarynth as if they had been there all their life. The agents followed them, the whole group climbing back into the copter and strapping in. One of the agents stood, the cabin only having room for three. "England." Rhodes told the pilot. "We need to get to the stones."
