(Heyo, everybody~! Inspiration struck me recently to make a story where myself and my close Gaia friends are living under one roof together. ^^ This is most likely going to be posted in little one-shots, methinks, at least maybe till I get everyone introduced... or not. *shrugs* I'll figure it out as I go along. Anyways, this is the first one, which slightly introduces myself, and more importantly Momma E~ <3 Her description is based on the avi she had at the time I started this, and I saved it just in case she changed. Which she did. XD)

Aurealis Sky sighed as she pushed through the double doors, entering the building. It had been a few weeks since the move; things were slowly settling down as everyone in the apartment building slowly got used to living together. She couldn't help but marvel at the fact that all of her friends agreed to move in here with her... Then again, they all had their various reasons.

The pink-haired girl waved absent-mindedly to Momma E, the landlady of the whole edifice, who was sitting behind the entrance desk. Her name was actually Eltanin Sadachbia, but everyone called her Momma E because she was a wise, motherly person who always had good advice for anyone who happened to need it. Momma E waved back, smiling fondly even though she had a slight crease of her eyebrows from having to look through the numerous bills that came from running a building comprised of tenants who sometimes would have quite explosive and messy “accidents”. She was also rustling through what seemed to be reports for the Census, which would explain some of the additional stress lines.

The motherly woman was wearing her soft brunette hair up in an orderly bun, tied together with shimmering, golden thread, that allowed two spiraling ringlets to sway and caress the front of her face. Her customary gold staff was resting next to her side, ready to be taken up if a dangerous person were to enter. Her outfit was hidden by the high desk, only showing her black boots.

“Good afternoon Aurealis,” she said, smiling benignly. “You have some mail- from that pen pal of yours, I believe?” Aurealis grinned and waltzed over to the desk, suddenly in high spirits.

“I haven’t heard from Dev in so long!” She exclaimed, grabbing the letter that Momma E offered to her. Rummaging through the neat piles on the desk, she finally managed to find a letter opener and took it, humming happily as she cut through the seal on the letter. She paused to sniff the envelope beforehand, and noticed Momma E’s unhappy stare at the now-messy lacquered desk. Sweatdropping nervously, Aurealis scooted away from the woman, clutching her newly acquired letter tenderly to her chest.

The eager woman started running up the stairs, taking them two at a time in her haste to get back to her apartment.

(Tell me what’chu think! o3o Constructive criticism is wonderfully helpful~ Like, did I do a good enough description? Or, was the flow of the sentences smooth and uninterrupted? I can’t tell. >.< So yeah, here’s to hoping the inspiration stays with me. ^w^)
