An idea for a role play. Evelynne encounters Charles's lost love, Marianne.
---
Evy dodged through the trees, trying to find some place she could just think for a bit. Just a bit. She'd be back at the Shays' in no time.
"Alone?" chimed a sweet voice.
Evy halted and turned around.
From behind a tree came a blonde woman. Evelynne immediately knew she was a vampire. She only looked to be in her late twenties, but the aura she gave off as definitely for a vampire.
"Can I help you?" Evy asked.
"Sort of."
Before she knew it, Evy was pinned by her neck against a tree.
"Now, I'm going to make this quick and easy, kid," she hissed in Evy's ear. "I'm way older than you, and I'm way older than Charles. Neither one of you have the experience I do, and I'm pretty sure you don't want to mess with that, do you?"
Evy hissed, but the woman tightened her grip on her throat.
"And don't even think about shifting," said the woman. "It won't help you. You know why? Because I'm a shapeshifter, too."
Evy choked out, "...who...a-...are you...?"
"I am Marianne, your Maker's love. He doesn't know I'm here, of course, but that's other business. Right now, I'm going to share something with you."
Marianne released Evy's throat, and the young vampire gasped for air. She coughed, and Marianne snagged the front of her shirt, slamming her against a tree and holding her there.
"Look at me."
Evy kept her eyes shut.
Marianne hissed. "I said, look. at. me!"
Evy's eyes flew open, and they met with Marianne's.
Immediately, Evelynne's eyes went wide. She was given flashbacks of her own bloodlust, and it hadn't been a pretty thing. However, the scenes were altered. She was in a crazed, unstoppable bloodlust, and she'd killed Jun. The boy was laying there, totally drained of blood and lifeless. Next to him, was a cowering, bruised and scratched Haiiro.
"Evy, please!" he shouted. "Please!"
But she took him out quickly. She drained him and tossed him aside like trash. The next few minutes were total horror. Evy felt as though she was experiencing this for hours, watching herself rip her biological mother and father to shreds and then draining Emily.
The scenes flitted to Hunters chasing Evelynne through the forest, firing at her and trying to kill her.
However, as Evelynne was viewing these things, Marianne was speaking them to her. It was a form of vampire upon vampire hypnosis. It didn't work all the time, but young vampires like Evy were incredibly vulnerable to it. Marianne was speaking and also injuring Evy. By now, Evy's arm was badly bleeding, and she had a bruise on her left temple and right cheek. Marianne had scratched deep gashes into Evy's right leg, and ended the flashes.
Marianne tossed Evy to a tree, and the girl slid down lifelessly. She was alive, but hardly awake.
"You listen," said Marianne, voice vibrating in Evy's ears. "You won't tell Charles about this, and you won't remember my face or my name. It was time someone taught you a lesson on who is tough and who is not. You need discipline." She paused, and her crimson lips spread into a smile. "And from now on, you'll answer to me. You'll know it when it happens."
With that, Marianne was gone, leaving Evelynne against a tree, staring into nothing in front of her, eyes dull as she bled from her wounds.
