1. Wisdom and Curiosity
Assignment - Anatomy and Physiology

The use of such outdated matching wisdom is indeed quite the curiosity in this assignment.

At this point in time, after so much use and abuse, I'm keen to present my theory that reverse hair clips, bracelets and their assortment of directly matching items should be classified together, as the autonomic matching system.

The autonomic system of matching composes of two functional classifications: the sympathetic, and the parasympathetic. The parasympathetic system of matching forges a dull base of black or white negative space. Its primary function is to ensure a bland and appauling base upon which to grow the avatar. The sympathetic matching system, by contrast, consists of the excitatory matching systems: the color accents. The sympathetic matching system functions by arriving at any arbitrary color choice, and non-consciously adding listless accessories and fodder onto the avatar from a pre-determined item template.

It's non-consciously driven, and infallible as your heartbeat.

Sadly, the analogy falls short in the sense that this juvenile level of matching is an outright hindrance on the quality of life.

Verdict 2/10.

2. Blaque Terawr <3
Assignment - Philosophy 101

This assignment seems to wax poetic on destiny and other such cute topics in sophistry.

The quality of the assignment itself was predestined by the overwhelming items it selected. The body exists as some useless culmination of black twigs with uncoordinated white dots, here and there, trying desperately to keep in tandem with the scarf. The scarf simply robs all attention, the eye tending to follow its pattern while desperately trying ignore the marring sight of the core avatar underneath.

There's no character, just jagged lines and blobs ofblack. Poor cat, its going to taste the ink in its fur for weeks.

Verdict: 2/10.

3. Tribal Warrior
Assignment - World History Topics

I gotta tell you, kiddo, you might think citing more sources than were requested is going to be an auto-plus, but it amounts to jack if none of them provide any substance.

So to say, this avatar seems as if its trying to incorporate too many things. Its supposed to tribal and earthy, yet at the same time bright and eyecatching; its supposed to be exposed and sultry yet at the same time clutterific. The end result is a dud.

The bottom portion breaks the bright mold with the earthy, leathery texture of the sash strap and the poor color quality of the anklets. The black eye is distracting and seems unsuitable to her overall demeanor. The tattoos are untextured compared to the heavily peppered midsection. The staff is skewers the primary vector [downward] right through the side.

I would admit, something about it surely feels bold. It doesn't rest in those safe, comfort zones, writhing in fear of straying from the well worn and expected techniques. Risks were taken, and this is certainly commendable. Certain accomplishments of the avatar should be held onto, and perhaps applied toward something new. The torso is pleasant. The makeup (not including the lips, however) is interesting, if not suited for this particular mood.

But these commendable risks, and isolated successes do not add up to an award winning whole.

Verdict: 4/10.

4. Red Hot Fervor
Assignment - Cosmetology

Well now.

This assignment doesn't necessarily live up its goal, showcasing the hair, in the sense I believe the hair could easily be switched out for any bright red hair style. As for a hairstyle showcase assignment, the hairstyle is inconsequential.

while a few of the white accents are eye-catching, namely the boots and the white "mask" under the shades, the matching elements are mostly just a product of the autonomic matching system. The demonic halo horns are particularly strange with the tie headband, marring the hairline and cluttering up the would be showcase item.

I like the torso, its a lovely culmination of items, that fuse together well as if a single shirt, and can see the combo being used excellently in other (likely theme oriented) instances.

Verdict: 6/10.

5. Nubian Greek
Assignment - Allele Frequencies

This cross-combination of genetics and mythology is sure to win this years award for most ridiculous interdisciplinary study.

Race is a nebulous construct which relies largely on social interpretation of appearance and has little to no objective biological standpoint. This becomes particularly upsetting because the Nubian persuasion in this avatar seems to originate entirely from phenotype.

The Greek portrayal, is further inaccurate, marred by the rain of red roses. Goodness, who died? Red roses were a symbol of passion marring judgment. White roses were the preferred symbol of wholesome things, such as beauty.

Verdict: 3/10

6. Summer
Assignment - "What I did for summer break..."

There's just very little critique-worthy content present here. The persuasion relies entirely on the strong character the new field item creates. From such a point, creating a blaise three piece and adding a violin and a few pets just doesn't promote much objective quality.

Verdict: 1/10

7. Grimpet the Disgruntled Wizard
Assignment - Applied Phlotobomy

The avatar presents itself in segments which tie together as a whole. The hair and beard combo is witty, and the blot out of the overdone Noel coat, plus a few color segments at the very bottom allow you to reconstruct the coat in a new palette. Granted, the strange sliver of gold just underneath the book, blots out the side vent of the coat very awkwardly.

The scar, however, is slightly awkward in appearance underneath the eyebrow as it is, and the omg fivehead is glaringly distracting. The black glove is aesthetically unpleasing and either bare hand or white gloves would, personally, be preferable.

but ultimately, it generates a thesis of character and supports it very well. It becomes to sympathize with him, even if the topic of note is how we appear to be the only people in existence who like those eyes.

Verdict: 7/10.

8. Trielle - Maiden of the Woods
Assignment - Byzantine Literature

This assignment has a very endearing facial features and the earth tones are very formidable, but the more I examine the more I come to the conclusion that the set up of the blues mar the essential beauty of the avatar. They demonstrate an incredibly peculiar vector, originating from the top and middle of the head and primarily preceding down the left edge of the avatar.

While it is true, there is a sliver of blue on the right side, the primary sense of movement veers left, likely because of the connect-the-dots action of the blue accents on the head, veering completely leftward toward the skirt, with none descending rightward to the skirt. The could likely be solved as easily as dropping the hair pin and quiver, creating three base points of blue in a triangular form: at the bottom left, bottom right, and top middle.

But aside from the anomalies cascading from the head there is very little downfall to this piece.

Verdict: 8/10.

9. The Circus Freak
Assignment - Theater Topics: Vaudeville

I'm amused by the repetition of sheen in the gray of the hat and bird but would have hoped it could have been further reproduced in the feet. The mood of this avatar is intriguing, but the color coordination is baseline and the textures are ill conceived. The disappearence of his horn underneath his hat is awkward, the fussy texture of the black gloves is ugly, and the cigarette fails to as a saving grace.

Verdict: 5/10.

10. hurrdurr it's another clutter
Assignment - Pop Art

I don't immediately arrive at the idea this was aimed at the voting population and it seems self-serving to do so. There's only one body of Gaians that would resemble the facade demonstrated by our little comedian here. It just seems silly to try and deny its ourselves, the would-be arena regulars, and not the casual voting population at large she's lamp-shading. And to be quite frank, I can withstand a petty jab from time to time.

But even in your defense, why rely on meta-humor? Your attempt at a rainbow is commendable, if somewhat flawed.

The rainbow transition from warm to cool is interesting, but frankly its very unsuccessful. The cools are top heavy and immediately transition into the warms around neck level. The perimeter fluff of sparkles distract from the core. The halo and wee little birds present to create the violet and blue stripes of the rainbow pull the attention too far to the top, and just look gaudy. This region could have been better structured in the eye region - which for whatever reason, is yellow, when it could have very easily been a cool color. There is no distinguishable green area.

Frankly, at this point in time, using the over-acessorized cell phones just doesn't strike me as very innovative in clutter fests any more, and its also adding a very prominent splotch of pink in the intended transition area from yellow to orange. And goodness, does that ridiculous leg strap stick out like a sore thumb.

Being a masochist, I appreciate the lashes, but your whip could use some maintenance.

Verdict: 7/10

Now let's all move ourselves to the lecture hall to continue today's lesson.

Week 40 Grad Students.

These students are making the long haul for their doctorates. Its a wild ride, but the Prof. wouldn't take them on, if he wasn't sure they could pull it off. Aside from the sections, they are in no specific order.
