My sweetie continues to battle cancer, and last week he was scheduled to start another round of chemotherapy. So on Wednesday we were both sitting in the waiting room down at the cancer center, and all of a sudden his hand started twitching.
He said "somethings wrong"
I said "what?"
He repeated "something's wrong....help?" and then his whole arm started twitching. I jumped up and ran to get a nurse, and when I looked back at him he was doubled over and fully convulsing and yelling 'help!'. sad The nurse grabbed a wheelchair and whisked him into an examination room and called for his doctor. The doctor arrived and asked if he'd had a brain scan - we said 'no'. He said he thought the cancer had moved into my sweeties brain and sent us to the emergency room for a cat scan. The scan showed that there was indeed something in his brain and they admitted him to the hospital and started giving him anti-seizure meds. That night, he got an MRI and an EKG done and they say he has at least 10 lesions in his brain. His doctor has decided to hold off on the chemo for now and ordered radiation for the brain lesions. When the radiation is done, we'll reschedule him for the chemo he was supposed to get on Wednesday. For now, he remains in the hospital but they expect to release him tomorrow....
