DETAILED PERSONALITY
222 is a rather cynical person. She is quick to judge, focuses on peoples' flaws more often than their strengths, and reserves her second chances for but a few. Her view of the world is tinted with a kind of stubborn pessimism, and she comes off as a pretty bitter person in general. This was all made worse after the incident, which left her questioning how many people were actually people at all.
Getting close to her is hard. If she does not immediately find something interesting about you, it is highly unlikely she will give you the time of day, and it probably won't change unless you come through with either a dazzling display of awesome, or a dazzling display of stupid.
She is incredibly sarcastic, and isn't afraid to bite at people who are annoying her. She doesn't candy-coat anything, and has not a single ******** to give if you can't handle her opinion of you.
She hates being questioned, and hates admitting she's wrong. She is incredibly confident in herself and her abilities, and will accept nearly any challenge, provided it is not completely ******** retarded.
Somewhere under her frigid mess of :|, there is some semblance of a heart, and emotions that go beyond the negative side of the feelings wheel-- but like hell she would ever show them around other people.
222'S PAST
222 took a borderline-unhealthy interest in electronics from an early age, and spent a lot of time tinkering with them by herself. She watched as the people she tolerated, and even befriended, as a child, grew up and somehow remained stupid and immature and absolutely insufferable. She began to see people as boring and useless, mere animals who stood around and made noise and took up space. She acquired a dislike for the general human race that slowly grew as she did.
When she was 18, a bizarre series of e-mails & phone calls from an anonymous party led her to a radio tower where, precisely at 2:22 AM, something happened. What that something was, she won't ever say, but it resulted in her unusual powers.
With these powers came the urge to wander about and use them-- which lead to her meeting with Otto, an easily flustered nerd with a bad case of insomnia, and in turn, her meeting with Kiel, the eccentric owner of a little cafe in town. She now pesters them on a regular basis.
ABILITIES
As a result of the incident, 222 has been convinced that the world is a computer simulation in which everybody is trapped. Moreover, she has also been convinced that she happens to be a virus to the computers running the world.
She is able to distort the reality around her, causing visual 'glitches.' She can change an object's shape, colour, texture, size-- anything physical about it, she can alter, though the more extreme the change, the more effort it takes on her part to keep it that way for however long she wants/needs. If she moves too far from the object, or just plain stops trying, the object will revert back to normal. She cannot change how an object functions, nor can she change its chemical composition.
She can also make images appear in mid-air. The more complex the image, the more concentration she needs to sustain it.
When she becomes particularly upset, afraid, stressed, or annoyed, black holes of varying sizes appear and disappear rapidly around her, as if her emotions are rending space itself.
She dies a lot. Ever since the incident, she has been in the wrong place at the wrong time far more than any normal person (which, of course, means more than just once). She has stopped counting the number of times she has been killed since she gained her abilities. Every time this happens, her corpse disappears shortly after her death, and reappears in the same place a day later, alive and unharmed. She claims it's because the computer is constantly trying to delete her, but she evolves fast enough to hang on, recover, and get back in-- but whether or not that's the truth or just a byproduct of her ******** around with the very laws of the universe is unknown. She doesn't know if she can truly die anymore, but she doesn't really want to try experimenting.
She claims to have the ability to erase anything, living or not, from existence-- but she has never demonstrated it, and it is unlikely that she actually can, at least under normal circumstances.
Her ability does not originate from the nightmare world like Kiel's. This is a major point of interest for him.
RELATIONSHIPS
- Kiel is one of the few people for whom she does not harbor any loathing. From the get-go, she had feelings that there was more to him than he was letting on, and that intrigued her-- and eventually, she did end up finding out just what he was hiding. She is the only one who knows. She finds him an overall pleasant person, if not a bit weird and way too bright-eyed, but pushes him around on a regular basis merely because he takes it like a b***h.
She thinks Otto is an idiot, and takes great pleasure in pestering him whenever she can. It doesn't help that he seems to always end up, intentionally or not, doing things that annoy her.
OTHER s**t
After the incident, she took 222 as her name, and now no longer gives out her real one.
She is the subject of an urban legend in the nearby city. Though she doesn't flaunt it, she is also not particularly concerned with others knowing of her power, and is not hesitant to use it in public if she deems it necessary. More relevant, however, are the rifts she creates when she is in extreme emotional states-- because she tends to dwell on the things and people that upset her, when she does become angry enough for these rifts to begin appearing, she doesn't do much to ward them off, and many people have seen the phenomena. She is widely known as 'the black hole girl.'
A technophile, 222 loves electronics and machinery, especially tinkering with them. As she upgrades her gadgets, she guts the old models for fun, often leaving the resulting parts strewn about her room.
She has a thing for strange masks and collects them as a side-hobby.
She and Otto are in the same World of Warcraft guild without knowing it. All she knows is there's some idiot in her guild she has to deal with, and all he knows is there's some b***h in his guild who never gets off his case.
She is loosely based on the concept of simulated reality.
