Well since the first teaser preview was SUCH a hit i've decided to do another one. Shorter though. It will be in while Yugi is in Egypt, and at this point he doesn't know who Sammi really is. He's had the feeling they've met before (before she showed up at school that is) but can't figure out why. And its the Pharoah thats the one with the deja vu, which just makes thing stranger for Yugi.
"Look, its another releif like we saw in the museum." Yugi sounded excited.
"Yes, but this one is different,, larger for one, but for another thing. Who are THEY?"
On one side of the relief was the pharoah, and on the other was what looked like Kaiba. The Dark Magician and Blue Eyes White Dragon above their respective duelist and between the too figures was what looked like a fire. That much was the same as they'd seen before in the museum. But in this version there was more.
Beneath the two duelists in smaller carving was another picture. There was a large ominous looking archway that somehow seemed to stretch on forever into imposing blackness, though how the effect was accomplished Yugi had no idea.
The gate was drifting on a billow of clouds behind what appeared to be a village, except it looked as if it were burning, and small figures running from the flames and from the monsters that were pouring from the gate. On either side of the gate though were two larger figures. In keeping with Egyptian symetry it was really the same figure.
It was a woman with long flowing hair billowing away from the gate. She wore a serious expression as she looked into the gate, and subsequently across it at her mirror image that stared back. One of her hands was reaching up to the the figures battling above her as if beseeching them for help. The other reached across the gate toward her mirror figure. the two mirroring hands met in the center of the gate and the hands were clasped around a small object. A key maybe? But the thing that really held his gaze was the shining millinium eye symbol on her forehead, and the matching shape on the armlet she wore.
"Wow, pharaoh does that look like-"
"That's exactly what it looks like. An ancient Egyptian version of Sammi!" Yami blinked in shock.
"Maybe that's why she seems so fermiliar to you!" Yugi mused.
"Yes, that would explain some things..."
"Like how she knows so much about Egypt and why she's already considered one of the foremost translator of Hyrogliphs." Yugi whispered.
"And why Pegasus would take her in after her own parents died." Yami finished. Yugi nodded. "And maybe, unlike you, the spirit of her Ancient Egyptian self still has her memories. We could ask her some questions when we get back!"
Yami smiled, "I like the sound of that."
"Wait! Stop! What are you doing! You're gonna get us in trouble!" A childish voice floated through the room. Yugi whirled around quickly looking for the source of the voice but no one was there. And then-
"Ah you're just a spoil sport Sagira! Come on it'll be fun!" A boy said as he ran past Yugi, completely oblivious to his existence, he was tugging a slightly younger looking girl behind him. He was laughing but the girl looked scared.
Impulsively Yugi reached out to grab the girl away from the boy who was obviously scaring her, but his hand passed right through them! Yugi yelped and jumped back from the two ghostly children.
"Yugi I think- I think we're seeing the, the PAST! My past! I think that that boy is- ME." Yami gasped.
"Come on Sagira. Have I ever gotten you in trouble before" The boy asked.
"Honestly? Yes! Lots! Adio is gonna KILL us if he even finds out you were thinking about going out into the city! And that will be a merciful escape from what you're DAD will do if he finds out!" Sagira wimpered.
"Nonsense, besides, I'll be the one who'll get in trouble after all, I mean it was my idea not yours so you're safe. So don't be a baby." The boy gave her a sly smile and she sighed and agreed.
"We're gonna get in trouble..." she muttered softly. Then suddenly the room when black and a voice boomed. The vision faded replaced by another. the girl stood behind the boy in a large hall crowded with people. An older woman paced down the isle toward the imposing figure of a man seated on a throne.
"Majesty. The time has come. The shadows have chosen their new master. Amun-Ra has shown me her in a vision. She is here. In this very room."
"Well then Isis-Ka, reveal your secrets. Who is this new priestess!?" The man boomed. The woman whirled pointing straight at Sagira.
"Her." She said and a gasp when through the room. The room spun and disolved into a whirlwind of images. The girl being pulled away from her friend, she was crying and he was attempting not to and failing.... Sagira being pushed into a temple.... the millinium armlet being forced onto her arm and then the gates a darkness opening before her, shadows spilling out, pulling her in towards oblivion....a blue flam flickering and Sagira pulling a key from the flames.... and then the images solidified into a clear single event. The young pharaoh Yami smiling, Sagira walking toward him across the sand. The sky was black ans studded by stars, so Yugi knew it was night.
"That's it, we've won." The Pharaoh said jubilantly. A black figure with glowing red eyes, almost indecernable from the blackness of the night materialized behind him, and the Shadow archer fired his arrow. Sagira screamed, "NOOOO!" And then she was pushing the pharaoh out of the way, staring the black warrior in the eyes. There was a flash of light and a crackle and the evil warrior was no more. The image collapsed in on itself with a sickening thud of arrow meeting flesh. Then the pharaoh's heart-renching cry of agony rent the air, and echoes into the room until it faded away.
Yugi was wide eyed, his heart beating fast. Tears had formed in his eyes as it didn't take a genius to know what had happened though he hadn't really seen the arrow strike, nor her death. But those last two sounds were enough.
"She died...?" Yami whispered. "That can't be, I don't understand. Were those MY memories... or someone else's?"
"Or something else entirely...?" Yugi finished solomly
