Went to the Asian Art Museum today to see the Shanghai Exhibit before it left in September, like we were supposed to yesterday.. (Next up I think they’re showing something on Japanese prints...) We took the Bart train from Millbrae to er…. I think it was Powell? And I was reading a book for my summer reading called the curious incident of the dog in the night-time by Mark Haddon. (About this kid who has something worse wrong with his head than I do… Something worse than BAWWWWtism. I dunno, read it for yourself.) We didn’t go straight to the museum though… We went to this REALLY good textile store near Market Street for my Mom… I’m only interested in Brocade. They didn’t have a really good selection of Brocade there like they do at Johanne’s Fabric Stores, nor did they sell sewing machines or all those other things for crafts… It was mainly fabric and on the 2nd floor there was like…. Buckles, Antique lace and regular lace, ribbon, and like…. Flower hairpins? I dunno, for like, weddings. I just read while we were there… Right next door there was this weird store that’s a bit like Juicy Couture (Which was actually right down the street too! And there’s one down in Stanford.) and there’s one of in Stanford but whose name completely slips my mind. Then we walked around a bit and had a bite to eat at a café, then went to the museum… We used the audio tour and walked around… I had to rest a lot because my legs get tired easily and we had been walking around a lot beforehand. Then we went and took the Bart back and I read the whole time… Read on the car home, too… I shouldn’t have. I got carsick a little bit…. Finished the book, though!
….And I took around 6600 steps on my pokewalker. XD
