The faculty of the Dantrium Academy was gathered in the Head Master's office. Professor Hildeon, the headmaster, stood behind his desk, left hand on the desktop and the other running through his thick, chestnut hair. The room was filled with whispers, the rumors had spread throughout the campus like wildfire about Nakuya and Miss Turry's odd behavior and even the staff was swapping gossip like first-year students. No one except Professor Hildeon, Miss Turry and Nakuya knew about the death of Jerrigan Shultz.
The memory was vivid in Hildeon's mind. Miss Turry ramming her fists against his office doors, unable to construct full sentences without choking on her words.
"Jerrigan... Shultz... Dead." She had managed to spit out. His eyes widened in disbelief. How could one of his students be dead? Who could have killed such a harmless girl. Miss Turry and Hildeon had sprinted to the room where Jerri was suspended. Nakuya was standing infront of the corpse, her arms limp against the rest of the rest of her rigid body. She turn her head toward the two adults, her eyes bloodshot and tear stains on her cheeks.
"They came for her, just like they said they would..." Naku whispered.
"Who came?" Hildeon pressed.
Nakuya opened her mouth to answer, but crashed to the ground unable to speak as she clawed at her throat, suffocating. The lights in the room began to flicker on and off violently as her irises began to glow a deep crimson. A torrent of wind encompassed the room whipping Naku's uneven, black hair across her face.
"Here... they are here..." She coughed out right before she passed out. As soon as her eyes closed and she hit the floor the lights returned to normal and the air was still.
Headmaster Hildeon stared at Nakuya's limp body and crouched to the floor trying to gather his thoughts. Someone had infiltrated the school, Nakuya knew something about it and one student had died. Hildeon snapped his head up and observed a pale, quivering Miss Turry.
"Ana," He stated, attempting to keep his voice level and strong. "I need you to take Nakuya to the infirmary while I notify the Shultz family of their loss and gather the faculty for an emergency meeting."
Ana Turry nodded, slowly, very slowly.
Hildeon snapped out of the turmoil in his head, he needed to stop the scene from repeating in his head anymore.
"There has been a death of a student," He annouced, the room went silent, faces of the adults full of disbelief, "I know nothing of the cause or motives, all I know is that our students are in danger and Nakuya Jones is our only witness."
