artwork by MoonchildLadyOfShadows (Thank You!)This OC has been rolling around in my head for a long time now, but I am just now putting him on paper. He is inspired and baised on a dream I had one night. Please keep in mind that this is all science fiction/stream punk.
Background/Plot: He is yet to be named. He is a 13/14 year old boy (although he may start younger [12] and end up older [15] by the end because that is what seemed to happen in my dream) from a weathy family. He was raised by his servents and instuctors because his father was often too busy and his mother was no longer around. His father, who was in charge of a very wealthy company, went insane and began to obsess over perfection. He wanted everything he had to be perfect and unfortunately that also included his son. Without his son’s knowledge and premission he replaced his son’s biological body with mechanical parts. The boy’s closest intructor was able to rescue him before the operation was completed, but saddly most of his body had already been replaced. Now both he and his instructor, now his guardian/protector, are on a mission to gain back what he has lost. The set out to get back all of the boy’s original organic body parts and fix the terrible deed that had been done. One has to suspend belief a bit with the whole ability to make someone organic to mechanical and vica versa (but please remember this is baised on a dream I had).
And as dreams go, they jump around so I don't know much about the middle, but I do know a small portion of the end. From what I remember, the boy goes back, after completing his quest, to confront/stop his father. He ends up being overpowered by his father and his father's need for perfection is still overwhelming him. The boy's father ends up trying to kill him because his son is "weak" and "not perfect" and he believes that if what' his can't be perfect then it should not exist. While his father is choking him to death (the choking was how he almost died in the dream and I think it is sort of metaphoric because if he was still mechanical, he could not be killed this way, it is only because he is now once again flesh-and-blood. Plus it takes away the oxygen which is what all living/organic things need to live, but not mechanical). Luckily, the boy's protector comes in just in time to save him again. This is where the dream ended so I still have to figure out the rest. But I believe that in the end the boy ends up defeating his father (by killing him, although that is not for sure yet about that).

Age: 12-15 (about 13 years old)

Height/Figure: about 5'4-5’5 (unless I make him younger to begin with). He also has an average build.
Skin: pale and mechanical (see last picture). He body is almost completely mechanical up to his neck, his is not mechanical, but his eyes are (the last mechanized part of his body and the first to be reversed). Mechanical skin is optional.
Race: human
Personality: He is a very emotionally strong individual. He is a kind and has a strong sense of right, wrong, and/or just (not that he is always correct). He can be a bit opinionated at times, but always open-minded. He is in no way physically strong, although he does get stronger because of his mechanical body, instead he is intellectually smart. He prefers to use logic and spoken word over violence to get himself out of trouble. He is optimistic, but this also makes him extremely naive. being raised in a wealthy family he was shielded by many of the cruelties of the world. He is mature for his age, yet he is still a kid although sometimes those around him forget that. He acts responsible and mature, but inside he is still a child.
Weapon(s): He does not usually carry weapons, but he is later given a gun by guardian and taught how to use it so that he could protect himself.
Other Skills: He is well versed in many ideas intellectually and he also learns a bit of basic self-defense from his guardian as well.
Outfit/design: His style is a Victorian/steam punk. Since he comes from a rich family he typically has nicer looking cloths (white blouses, vests, etc..), but to bend in better he tries to hid them with a cloak. He also tries to stick to less flashy colors such as browns, blacks, whites, and blues.
(the cape part of the outfit seen here is more like a cloak the is able to be a cape when wanted or a cloak when needed (has a hood as well). The mechanical arm seen in the picture should be the same color as his skin because his mechanical parts were designed to look more like human skin).
