It was only three hours after late,
I was standing cold, under the street light
But not alone...
Familiarity became wearisome,
Dripping unto a surface of emotional barriers,
Disturbing the unnatural placidity
And uncanny feelings amplified
Like a maturing parasite, in my susceptible frame.
Oh if ever I felt uncertainty...
Forgive me not for wavering
But for my acknowlegdement of such impossiblities.
Though... never was I so sure.
Remorse like a knife, teasing my skin,
Releasing a gentle mist of tension
That lost you to myself...
