Thirteen year old Rima Oshaikeuchi loves anime and manga, especially the genre magical girl. She dreams of being a magical girl herself and runs around in her cosplay. One day, there is a fight at school and Rima tries to be the heroine. She tries to be like a magical fighting for justice, but instead Rima makes a fool of herself. She runs to the back of the school and sits their crying for awhile. Rima says she was a fool to think she could fufill such a silly dream. The dream guardian, Miyako, won't allow her to do this, so Miyako appears all of a sudden in front of Rima. Miyako says that she will make Rima's dream come true, but Rima doesn't believe it. Miyako demands that Rima pulls out her magic wand and say the charater's spell. Rima thinks this is silly, but when she does, she transforms into whoever she is cosplayed as. And this is where her dreams begin.
