Today it is Thursday and I have a spanish test. I know I will do well, however. I’m not stressed at all. Yesterday was a bit hard for me but I felt better once I started looking at old photo albums and going through my mother’s old yearbooks (Class of ’67). Kids were so different back then! They looked so mature in high school, not like kids today who are skinny, malnutritioned, and do nothing but sit on their asses watching tv or playing video games. But they were similar to us in some ways too. Instead of signing with “I enjoyed going to school with you this year. Have a nice summer” it was “You’re a real sweet girl. I enjoyed going to school with you. Best of luck in your future”. Seriously EVERY SINGLE PERSON signed with that. Through reading what her friends wrote in her yearbook, I found out alot about my mother. She went to vacation bible school and something happened that was really funny (no one will ever know exactly what), she took study hall 5th period with her friends Ella Mae, Wanda, and Sue. She dated a few guys named Butch and James (Who she had a disagreement with Sue over). And she loooooved Elvis Presley. Her friend Ella Mae even made up a rhyme for her.
“Your hair is brown and your eyes are blue,
if I had them, I’d go with Elvis too!”
They were such silly girls. It made for a good night.
